In the original picture, it looks like the decal goes up onto the raised area on either side. it'd be cool to see if thats a possibility to make it wider for the front end. These trucks have big ole noses.

I may do two styles, this being one of them and the other staying inside the body contour. Today was a pretty busy day family wise. I'm hoping to get back to completing this early this week.

I really like this. Was quoted locally $350 installed and they said it would only last 3 years. I'm interested in the look but mainly glare reduction. anyone interested in this shape and size? If you only do the 3rd gen ones shown above I'd be in for the longest one, curved.

At this point I’m considering ordering some matte vinyl from eBay, and using an x-acto knife to (hopefully) cut out the lettering and shape of it. I’m artistically inclined so hopefully it isn’t a hack-job.. but I’m sure it will be  worth a shot I guess. I’ll report back if I get it done.

May be better off ordering the vinyl, using the knifeless tape approach for the shape, and then getting @CBoy808 to make color matched decals with the text that just lay on top of the matte vinyl. Then you don't risk damaging anything.

I reached out to the guy at that dealer, but haven't heard back. This is far more difficult than I figured it would be, thanks for the support on the thread everyone!

4B9F69E9-8582-48CC-9140-453161D76EE0.jpg I’m going to drop in on www.factorycrafts.cm today. They are local here in Vegas. Going to see if they can modify the current design they have to the one we all like. I’ll let you know what they say.

I think this would look real good and rugged if it was almost a grip type of material for the vinyl, I have seen it before where it is a bedliner type material (obviously not real bedliner) but it is a little rougher and matte black.

Ok. Just met with the designer at www.factorycrafts.com. He is going to mock up the design and send it to me. Looks like the price will still be around $60.00 for DIYS. I’ll post the rendering when I get it.

Do these peel off? Does it affect the paint?

Like any Vinyl. As long as it is applied to a quality surface it should not affect it.
