So, my TRD DCSB has a pocket behind the passenger seat but not the driver seat. Not a big deal, but an odd place to save a few pennies. Is this a 3rd Gen feature or is mine a quality escape? Plus, the glovebox shelf isn't wide enough for standard maps (yes, I still carry a few) as well as the owner's manual, a big design goof IMO, and I have the JBL speaker which takes up space behind the seat, so halving the seatback storage is noticeable to me. I hate having stuff just lie on the back seats or floor, especially where I live and car break-ins are epidemic.

It's not just yours. They only have the pouch behind the passenger seat for some reason. I'm not sure why.

The driver can reach the passenger pocket but wouldn't be able to reach a pocket behind the driver's seat.

Get some Clazzio seat covers. I was happy to find out that the seat covers include a seat back pocket for the drivers side. Everything is back to normal now :)

Can confirm, my DCSB OR only has passenger side pocket. I thought it was very silly as well. Also hate that the smart key sensors aren't on the passenger side door.

OK, thanks. I have been considering seat covers, for other reasons, but it's a lot of money just to get the pocket. I guess Toyota reserves the second pocket for its high end cars, like Corolla and Prius.

I too have been considering seat covers. My previous car (2016 RAV4) had the Softex seats, which were really easy to wipe and clean. With cloth seats and a dog.. It can get muddy really quick. Don't see how I could spend the $600 on the Clazzios quite yet, maybe after I get some sliders, bumpers, and lights.
