I'm unaware of anything for street vehicles that was actually a product resulting from TRD.

    Fan boy badging it is.

And the root question is who produces this Toyota branded product? That's right, the low bidder, not Toyota.

It's champion same as amsoil filters. Toyota subcontracts out probably almost all of the parts and they're just and intermediary and lots of people have steered away from nonoem to save some money and regretted it later.

Our prius is 11 years old, and its battery shows no sign of getting weak yet. I gotta say I was skeptical when we bought the car, but its turned out to be cheaper to own than any vehicle we've ever had.

I have a 2010 Honda Insight that I use for work- a 150 mile/day trip. I’ve always felt they didn’t market it correctly because I get 65 mpg in that thing.

They not only get great fuel economy, they're less expensive to maintain over a 10 year period. Only issue with our prius, it's not a very exciting, or fun car to drive. It's just basic reliable transportation.

Because I only use it for work I removed the passenger seat, rear seat, spare tire, side mirrors, back window wiper, all in the spirit of mpg increase. Of all the things I’ve done it is the 51 psi tire pressure that returns the largest benefit.

with all those seats out I can load as much stuff in there as I can my truck.

We picked up a cheap car for our teen and it happened to be a 2012 Prius C. That had had the battery replaced at 230,000 miles. That isn't lithium though it's Nimh and that chemistry has about half the lifespan of lithium.

    Crappy car but functional, 50mpg
