TRD OR ACLB 6 speed stick

What year did they stop making this configuration ???

 

The ACLB with Manual is currently only available with the TRD Sport configuration... good luck finding one, especially this late in the model year...

 

They didn’t stop making it, it’s up in Canada only.

 

Why do people refer to it as a long bed? Access cab has one bed option, can we just normalize calling it Access Cab?
I know I’m asking too much. I’ll see myself out.

2015 the last year of the 2nd Gen was the last you could get one in the USA.

 

Seems like such an odd decision on Toyota's part not to offer this configuration... TRD OR AC with Manual would have been my ideal configuration...

 

I had 3 of them prior to my current truck, would have had a 4th if they offered it.

 

So this configuration is not offered in the 3rd gens ???

 

They are made and delivered for the Canadian market pretty much exclusively.

 

correct, a 3rd GEN OR AC MT is not available in the USA. you can get an AC MT in a TRD Sport, i have one.

 

just buy the trd sport access cab and add your own locker. itl be a better truck than the offroad anyways. i have a 2023 access cab offroad 6mt up here in canada

It won't exist in the upcoming 4th Gen either as the access cab is being replaced with an extended cab.

 

I don't even think the #'s on the 4th gen power train .are much of an improvement from my 2nd gen...

 

Agree, if they offered this config, the DCLB and an SR5 config with manual they would likely double the MT sales by %. Not that doubling the % of manuals matters business wise, but the very low % of manual sales is often cited as a justification for eliminating it altogether.

I suspect that they are keeping it around in the 4th gen so that any crazy whackos who insist on driving a manual mid size truck (like me) have to come to Toyota. Mission accomplished…why go beyond that?
