Yep, I agree on the greatness of these tires. Good road manners, good traction, and they have been solid driving on the lava rocks we have here on the island. A lot of other truck/suv owners consider these an upgrade from their oem. Glad they came stock with the TRD Off Road

same here. pleasantly surprised with the GYs. looks like we're gonna have to let them run their course before we go shoe shopping.

I have flattened 2 of the factory tires just by running over nails on the high way within the first 3 months of owning my truck.

Yes, that would be an upgrade, but keep in mind the GY Adventure with Kevlar tires are pretty (OK, very) mild for an AT tire. There's a lot of good options out there. I would recommend these tires to someone who is primarily concerned about on-road performance with enough off-road capability to not be embarrassing. However, just about any other AT tire will be more aggressive. While compounds and design can bridge some of the gap, generally the more aggressive the tread, the worse the on-road performance (braking, cornering, noise, wear). I've used them off-road enough to be satisfied, but when they wear out I will at least research something different.

That sucks man, I would be pretty upset. Regardless of tire though, running over nails will give you a flat.

After some considerable research on tires, I'm thinking about replacing my OEM Sport tires with the Kevlars, as I don't need an all-terrain tire, but something definitely more aggressive than the ones that came on my Sport. Thoughts, opinions, etc?

They've been great on my truck. I'd recommend them.

22k miles and about 50% tread remaining (per discount tire) still can't kill em'

34k here, probably around 1500 miles of that off pavement at this point. Will probably get another 10k or so out of them.

Pop-n-lock tailgate. New radio knobs. Rear step.
21K miles and no complaints from me about the tires. They have lots of life left too.

That's funny - I had a set on my 06 Tacoma and I was not impressed. Very soft and comfy on road for sure. Lightweight, good looking, great on-road experience - but not too capable offroad, and really not good in snow and ice compared to almost every other tire I've owned.

The Duratrac on the other hand has been an excellent tire in all conditions.

I'm going to run them until they're gone, but I'm going to be happy when they're gone. I'm at 4 patches in 16K miles. Causes of holes were 1 nail hole and 3 unknown (which means prickly pear or mesquite in Texas). For comparison, my BFGs going in the same places had 0 flats in 15 years. They are great on the road, they do OK in rocks, but terrible in mud.

Weird I've driven through all kinds of thorns and cacti here in the sonoran desert; sharp rocks too. No flats. We have mesquite too. Lots of it.

Wow positive message. One cant help but wonder being your beaten the hell out of your tires you must be beaten the hell out of your truck at the same time. It seems like the truck is taken all your abuse and is still performing. Now admit your a closeted tacoma fanboy. I won't tell anyone if you admit it.

I absolutely hate mine. I've had 3 patches so far from gravel road driving. complete trash in my experience. They are 3/4 of the way gone at 24k miles as well

Would it be fair to say that your tires that you have beaten to hell and back are attached to your replaced howling diff. If that is the case that replaced diff is holding up well to the abuse wouldn't you think.

I've got 36k on mine and figure that I'll probably be able to get through summer with the remaining tread. Had to patch them a few times because of punctures, but they are wearing nice and even.

23k miles, I like them also. AT tires never do any one thing really well, they're meant to be an "all around" tire and I think these do that pretty darn well.
