And they love the RIDGELINE. From autoblog also.

"DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SOMETHING ELSE ":rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Really ? :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Autoblog won't be on my list of reads. It's right on par with shebudgets.
Read the last paragraph where they say the number of cowboys who spend 60K on a truck just to ride around in the city is rising.

Barf. What kind of douche transports end tables and puts em in the goddam back seat instead of, you know, the bed of the "truck" you are driving?

For what it's worth, I paid $15,000 less for my taco than that Ridgeline, and get about the same gas mileage. Yeah I don't have leather seats and a speaker in the bed, but if you are buying a truck and these things are what you base your decision on, I kindly suggest why don't you take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.

They should have driven a Tacoma with OVTune 91 octane. Would have had one less complaint (AT)

Good looking, great resale value and reliablility....... those are the only reasons I buy Toyota. If I wanted a powerhouse that will deprecate instantly and leave me stranded roadside in the near future I would buy a domestic...

Are these guys mad it doesn’t come in a hybrid version or something? Or maybe it causes chaffing while they wear their rompers.

I just spent 6 days in this piece of shit rental on a business trip. 2CC6AAEE-14E3-42EF-A0CD-6C33FAED2F13.jpg
Power train was ok. The rest was already squeaking and rattling at 1300 miles on the odometer.

Happy to be back home with this:

That's actually exactly why I got the Tacoma, looks good, reliable, and great resale. What more do you want from a truck? I had more of a luxury car before, and if I want luxury I'll get another car.

    Haters gonna hate...

As long as I’m happy with my choice, and I DEFINITELY am, I could care less about so called reviewers opinions. People should decide the old fashioned way... test drive, anyone?

Was about to say the same thing, I buy based on what I like behind the wheel, not what anyone else likes or thinks I'm supposed to like.

I'll never get the hate for these trucks, from reviewers or owners. They are either expecting it to be something it isn't and faulting the Tacoma for it or didn't do their homework ahead of time. That is unless you were unlucky and happened to get a faulty truck.

The Taco is perfect for what I use it for. I didn't buy mine to drag race a Silverado from a red light. I bought it because they are known to be reliable and capable. For what it is worth I have driven both the Chevy and GMC mid sizes as rentals while traveling for work. They are nice but I don't think the cost of ownership will even be comparable.

Edit: And my dignity would never allow me to drive a Ridgline (minivan with a bed).

Also, on my recent Colorado rental the infotainment system was buggy and inconsistent. I couldn’t get it to recognize either of my iPhones (work phone, personal phone) for CarPlay half the time. I couldn’t get Bluetooth to pair at all as well. Trying to navigate to the sound settings was also a joke. Also, CarPlay requires you to be connected via USB. I like being able to use the Qi charger and Bluetooth on my Tacoma.

The one thing that stood out to me as obviously better on the Colorado was throttle response and low end torque. With the 8 speed it liked to stay between 2000 -3000 rpm. Our Tacoma’s like to rev more.

Thanks for the comments. How did the Colorado handle on the highway compared with your Tacoma?

I disagree I find Apple Car play 1000x better than Toyota's crap Entune system. I think the Qi charger will be a much better feature in 5 years when more phone's catch up.

Colorado had a smoother ride to me. All this makes it sound like I am a fan of the Colorado over the Tacoma. I am not.

Tacoma is more capable, has better reliability and looks much better IMO.
