any body got any preferences, good or bad news about TRD or URD superchargers. i currently own a 2008 tacoma dc 4x4 6spd and has 16k miles, and want a bit of an upgrade, and also can't make my mine up on which would be the best choice. just don't know about any tuning that would be associated with the URD one, i do know that there is just a reflash for the TRD one that has to be completed at a dealer. i am not planning on putting it on a racetrack after the upgrade, just want a little extra pep under my foot.

    thanks for any replies

I'd go with the TRD one. Should be covered by the warranty.

k&n cai 63 series intake, blacked out headlights, blacked out tailights, magnaflow pro offroad 17115 dumped, URD competetion y-pipe, total chaos 3.5" long travel, fox 2.5x8" remote resevoir shocks, allied 4" spindles, toytec 2" AAL, 20% tint up front and 5% rear, satoshi grille, ddm 50w 6000k hid's. wet okole custom trd seat covers with heaters. 4:56 nitro gears with arb rd129 air locker, arb ckmta12 dual air compressor.
I would vote trd supercharger because it was specifically designed by toyota for the tacoma/fj. All around pwer throughout the powerband. Cheaper than the urd. Aprox. 3800 for the kit plus 600 for dealer install/reflash of ecu. Urd is turbocharged. If it was an xrunner i was say urd. But i wouldnt want to add all that hp and have to modify parts to ensure things dont break. My 0.02

URD doesn't have a turbo its a rotrex supercharger.

My vote is get the TRD s/c.
