when you said “most” you’re likely correct. Some people on a forum miss few chances to let everyone else know how awesome they are.

“I never finance” isn’t uncommon, usually communicated with a dash of indignation.

Love the “I’ll never finance” gang when you can get more interest on a savings account than you’re charged on a loan

2.99% for the remaining picked over 24s or 4.75% on 25s, vs <1% on a bank savings account, 3-4% on Cds, or 13% S&P 500 (last 5 years). Most won't qualify for the better loan rates and most won't put any money into savings.

I ignore a lot of the stupid shit. Sometimes it’s more fun to have people backup their mouth.

My sister just bought her ‘25 at 2.99%. Ally savings is 3.5% right now.

I bought mine at 3.99 (TFS) in December and am still getting 4% at my local CU

I’m not going to screenshot it, you can look around

You gotta find a new bank if you’re only getting <1% on savings

Yeah, I’m not in it for the gains, but if the cost is zero and I get to keep $35k more in liquidity, I’ll do it

that’s a lot of emergency cushion for most people

Yea, I looked around before commenting. I have an Ally account but they aren’t the best on the market right now.

As for financing, I won’t finance unless the rate is below 2%. Usually I only finance if I perceive I will get an additional discount on the vehicle.

    Just joshing you earlier.

Most people finance because they don’t have the $50k cash laying around.

Apparently, for their credit score? If people can buy brand new, with no car loan, no need worry about it. Do something else.;)
