I currently have a 2013 Taco SR5 and I am going to shop for a 2019 Taco and can someone chime in and tell me a little about the TRD Performance Exhaust. Sound good, worth the money, should I upgrade it myself ?
    Thanks.

I have one and like it. Nice sound but no real performance benefits I've been able measure.

I purchased mine during the 40% off TRD anniversary sale ... I like to be way it looks and sounds, no noticeable performance gains. I probably wouldn’t have purchased at full retail price.

Mine sounds great overall, but sometimes the drone can be annoying.

Wait for the 2020 release . Having the seat functions and the Android auto will be worth the wait , oh and if the vehicle you select on the lot has the TRD Exhaust than that's fine but I would say don't purchase one out right @ point of truck purchase.

I got the trd exhaust installed after having the stock offroad for about 5000 miles. Had this on for 2000 miles and love it. No performance gain that I notice but I just love the sound - sounds deeper and more powerful even if it’s just the sound.

    Probably my favorite minor mod

I did it as well and didn't stop there, I added the TRD CAI and when matched with the exhaust it sounds great for a v6. Didn't really feel any power gains but it sure makes my truck run a lot smoother. I do run 93 octane Shell gas, tsb58 and I could not be happier. I paid $700 plus tax for my exhaust and CAI. I know what great sounding exhaust sounds like, hell if I wanna hear a beast I get in my cammed out, full exhaust 500 hp mustang.

I listened to one in person and ended up needing something louder so mbrp was what I got instead of the trd. If you wanna keep it oem then trd is way to go but price is also higher

i too have both TRd CAI and exhaust, also bought during TRD 40% off sale. Love sound of exhaust but i probably get something else if it was full price. Especially the CAI. As it uses the stock lower part of the airbox and just adds slightly straighter pipe and red accents. I’m sure there are better aftermarket options.

Apart the tip black or have a new black one welded on. I have seen tips very similar to the TRD pro tip, buy it and have the engraving done and come out cheaper. That pro exhaust is a lot nicer than the borla, sounds better too. It's all one piece vs the borlas cut up design.

I have one on mine and I'm very happy with it. It's loud when I want it to be, and quiet when cruising which is exactly what I wanted. No drone at all, I've driven on 7-8 hour trips pulling a trailer and it was great. I too added the TRD Intake, which I like for the same reason. You really can't hear it until about 3k RPMs, so when I'm cruising it's nice and quiet, but when I open it up I can hear it.
