That thing has way more traction than a Tacoma with a couple sandbags in the bed.

150,000 miles on my 2015, paid off years ago and will drive it until the wheels fall off in this crazy market. At a certain point I know prices have gone up with inflation but price gouging is another deal

I’m out on this one. My last TRD Pro was pricey enough and still had a garbage powertrain and seats. I’m not paying $70k for a truck that should be $10k less. I went Ford now.

Pricing is definitely painful for these models - it's so close to Tundra TRD Pro numbers already lol

Funny how the configurator is still broken for the non hybrid but they went all out for the hybrid configurator. I wonder when they’ll add all the extra goodies to the non hybrid configurator

Funny thing is, the new 4runner trd pro we saw did not have the isodynamic seats, yet isn't the 4runner trd pro more money than the tacoma?

Toyota has to get their profits up on the Tacoma for when the UAW moves into Guanajuato.

Pretty much guaranteeing a $70,000 4Runner TRD Pro I would say is the safe bet. Since the 2024 TRO Pro was a couple grand more than the 2023 Tacoma TRD Pro.

I actually think the 4Runner Pro will be less.

    - No ARB parts
    - No ISO dynamic seats

I have a real problem with those seats.

Would you put your family in the backseat with those giant metal shocks pointing directly at their knees? I wouldn't.

And they eliminate the map pockets, which I use all the time.

If they insist on including those stupid seats, they should just take out the rear seat and make it a flat platform with storage, since the hybrid system completely eliminates any interior storage.

what I was thinking. I would much rather trade those seats for ones with trail hunter and move on. more leg room in back seat and have to put a topper on back just for storage purposes as needed. Also no damn whistle like the videos are showing from the trail hunter. I don't know which is worse the whistle or the seats I hate both about the same.

I'm fairly loyal to Toyota, but sometimes they do some really dumb shit.

I mean who didn't hate the 3.5 liter Atkinson minivan engine? Every time I drive our 2020 PRO it reminds me of how much that power plant sucks.

If something happens to my '20 OR I'm pretty sure I'd go back to a no frills full size 1/2 ton. 4WD SB Reg Cab (if possible) non turbo and not much else. No way am I paying that $$ for what Toyota is selling.

I had a late gen 2 (2011) thing was a tank and only issue I had was the headlight bulb going out too quick. I was also one of the lucky ones that didn't have the rust issue. But yea that third gen had some issues. but I thought it sounded like they had it figured out by the end of the generation. Granted I hate now not buying a 2023 when I had the chance. I am in current need of a new truck and these prices just suck. I want the new Tacoma but this price just is hard to swallow and the seats. I have to make the great debate of want and need especially when I can grab a full size truck for just a little bit more and have more towing, and more back seat leg room or drop back to one of the competitors who has same truck at more value and still has more towing ability. Toyota made a great truck but then tried to hang everyone with a ridiculous price. I swear they could have kept those dumb seats gave a little more leg room and saved 5000 and sold more.

On top of that I also found them much less comfortable than the normal Tacoma seats. I just don’t know what they were thinking. I guess it was cheaper than putting on a real wide body or live valve shocks?

It's really weird that they just completely refuse to compete with Ford.

Honestly the Ranger Raptor looks awesome, Toyota didn't even try to compete.
