The badge reminds me from about 15-20 years back when all the BMW boys were M3 badging their e36 3 series to appear like m3's. And then in 2001 bmw comes out with the e46 M3 with quad exhaust, wide fender flares, huge brakes, hood bump, rear trunk lip and all the fan boys would've had to spend more to copy that than to just trade up to a then $50k M3 from their regular e46. These two 3 series are world's apart from a Pro and an SR/Sport/OR

Regarding the badge, do what you want...because at the end of the day its your truck; we'll always know the difference between real and fake tits..

You had my laugh of the day, have not been in service yet so i cannot confirm all of this is true.

Could care less about people putting badges or whatever on their non Raptor, M, AMG, TRD pro, etc. As long as they’re enjoying their ride who cares. People know the real deal from the costume ones anyway.

These can easily be bought after market with less money than Toyota price. As long as the off-road has all the major mechanical capabilities that the pro has like crawl control, diff lock and multi terrain, I’m good.

I always say Raptor has the most attractive body design than any pick up truck. I still wouldn’t get one though because it’s just Ford.

Again, to clarify, I am not telling anyone what to do with their truck. I saw this Off-Road today with a badge, and continued on with my day. It just made me curious as to why someone would badge the truck something other than what it is. That's it. Mine is a Sport, it says Sport (as much as I wish it was a Pro). No anger, ill-will, or decision-making for anyone on here :hattip:

Truth, but especially with the 22 years revised suspension and offset rims, the Pro still has a place. As the "I want it from the factory with warranty intact" place.

I still find the Pro underwhelming for the price, I think a top performance model of any vehicle needs something that isn't a bolt on to make it stand out from the other models, and I don't mean stamped besides

Yep, needs a H.O. engine, either a factory super charger, turbo, or better yet the 5.7 V8.

True. I almost swapped a guy here because the scoop obscures the wife’s view. I’ve also de-badged the entire truck. Badging, IMO, is for the car manufacturer advertising to potential customers. I know what I have and want a clean looking truck and don’t care to advertise for Wall Street.

Yes, probably could have it stay on when the turn signal is activated as a cornering light.

Kind of an apples to oranges comparison... of course you can buy aftermarket parts, but how do you say one is equivalent to the TRD Pro parts?

Not to mention that the Pro has 100% factory warranty coverage, whereas your aftermarket parts don't and potentially remove coverage from other components.

Or that your aftermarket parts add zero resale value (actually reduce it), whereas the Pro has a higher resale value than any other model...
