    I correct my shelf
    The 4x4 emblem was flat
    The TRD was onyx
    But u can't even tell the different
    Only if u put them side by side

    thanks for all the info! ordering all of these tonight.

    Was also curious about the "V6", but i guess it really doesnt matter.

    Any suggestions for removing the factory emblems?? heat gun? dental floss?

    Hair drier and dental floss
    Super easy
    Then a little bit of goo gone on a rag for final touch up

    I removed a couple of emblems from my tailgate. I used fishing line to take the badge off, then carefully removed as much of the lefover adhesive as I could by hand.
    For the remaining adhesive I used Goof Off (or Goo Gone, I forget which) with a MICROFIBER cloth to take the adhesive off.

    After that, I used a Meguires clay bar kit over the area to remove the slight dullness that you'll notice afterwards.

    Seemed to come out pretty good.

    Don't use goof off!! It will damage the clear coat of the truck

    Use goo gone

    You can use gasoline to remove the residue. Works great and won't go through clear coat.
