    Pro Suspension.jpg Hey Gents,

As you can see on the bottom coil over in the picture, the protective sleeve for the shock has cracked and slid down. Have any of you ever done this repair before? Any idea on a part number or a proper name for that sleeve?? Thank you in advance.

Never seen that happen before. Best thing is to call your Toyota Parts Dept and ask them if there is a replacement part for that dust boot. Then of course the spring will have to be compressed and removed in order to replace it. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

I think you would be better off contacting Fox directly for that part. I think all you can get through Toyota is a whole assembly if I’m not mistaken.

Same thing happened to one of my 5100s. It hasn’t affected performance. Maybe if you were in sand or salt areas. :notsure:

Are these off of your truck? If that's the case then let Toyota cover it under warranty, IMO.

I use these on many 6 - 8" travel 2.5" body coil overs. Great protection and better bottoming.

My factory Bilsteins have been like that for 30k miles. Everything seems to be fine!

All the TRD-specific parts are “accessories” in the system. I had a hell of a time ordering a replacement front set of shocks. They ordered OR Bilsteins the first time.

Were you able to fix this problem and did it affect the performance?

If it was me, I'd just use raptor liner to protect the shafts.
