My grill insert came already! Simon and I are ready unboxing!! I have a new color matched surround so when truck gets repaired the grill & insert will get installed. Thank you @jp_flynavy

 

anyone else wanting to pair this with a color matched grill surround? I just ordered the spray paint cans (primer, magnetic grey paint, and clear coat finish) and figured to try to do it myself while i have the grill off. If i fuck it up Ill just buy a pre-painted grill. I also want to do my rear bumper ('14 OR) cause ive never enjoyed the chrome. Thoughts?

 

I bought a color matched grille at just 100 miles on my truck and sold the old one not long after. For the rear bumper I found a cheap one on Craigslist locally that I could use for awhile while my chrome one was removed. I sent that out to have the chrome blasted off and then it was powder coated. It gives it a near match but also just a touch of contrast since it is not a glossy finish.

 

I've seen some done really well on here! I'm sure you'll do a great a job
On my Impulse Red 2006, I took matte black grill surround (non-SR5) to dealer for color matching since no sport grill existed for that color.
I bought my MGM one thru Camelback parts with TW code.
I like that color matched matte MGM rear bumper @Beers . With my color match Leer shell the only thing now chrome is that darn bumper.

I might offer 3rd gen models. I need to look into the dynamic cruise control sensor. As I understand the pro grills have some sort of insert?

 

Showed up today, installed in 40 minutes.

A T15 Torx fit the screws holding the garnish to the grill, felt a little loose, might need a T20.

The little plastic clips are fragile. Mine is a 2015, I’m sure older is worse.

Don’t forget to grab the little gasket off the top of the grill, squeeze the little plastic rivets inside the grill and the gasket will come off.

Fit looks like factory, no complaints. Thanks again @jp_flynavy .
