    Hey all,

I installed a fox pro kit on my 16 DCLB this morning, but i think i might have put the wrong ones on the back, meaning side to side. I could not find the part numbers on the shock themselves to know which side goes where. The front was easy as the are labeled LR and RF. I could not find the same on the rear. Toyota has them listed as left or right specific, but its not stamped on the shock.

is the part number anywhere on there??? Or are they actually the same shock per side and the right one is just listed "right" because it has the e-brake spacer with it??

I was just about to tell you that the part # and orientation is printed on the external bypass, bottom. Did you get the pbk spacer for the passenger side?

    yup, got all that.

I have a clunk on the drivers side now. loosened the shock up, bounced it a few times and tightened it back down- still there. no clue what it is.

A clunk? That's strange. If all you did was install shocks, I don't see what could be making a clunk sound. Double check your TOP stud nut and make sure it's tight. You want to pull that rubber bushing down pretty good.

    i'll check that next.

other than that, im at a loss to what it is. Other that changing out all the bushings, i have no idea. the shocks only have 11k

so the clunk sounds like it’s in the shock. i’m wondering- since i have 1” lift blocks, i wonder if i’ve taken the shock out of its tuning with the 1” lift. since its setting in a different static position now

Stock factory shocks? I suppose it's possible that your shock is topping out, but with only (1 inch) I kind of doubt it.

Oh crap, those Pro shocks are not cheap. Trying to find a single or even just the rears will be tough.

Fortunately they are rebuildable. Take them to an offroad shop for a rebuild.
