@ian2016 what is the recommended service interval for the stock Fox shocks on a TRD Pro? I imagine I'm a ways out, but it's good to know in advance.

50k miles is a good number to follow. Could be sooner but most guys aren’t running their trucks hard every weekend.

Thanks for that! I don't do a bunch of off road stuff with this truck, but some forest/mountain roads and the road I live on are dirty and rough at times. I'll have to keep any eye on my mileage and get in touch when I get to the 50K mark.

My 2017 TRD PRO had 58k miles on them with little offroading springs were busted on the coilovers, wish I had seen it earlier.

Damn that’s crazy! Biggest suggestion I can make is don’t use spacer lifts on the trd pro coils. Causes the top hat to wear on the shaft for some reason which isn’t fixable. Better to go with a wescott designs or eibach coils. Other than that I haven’t seen failures like yours. Sorry that happened to you.

    Hey @ian2016
I am in need of getting my front shocks rebuilt. I’m in Colorado, and could possibly just drive to you. How would we go about setting this up?

If you are going to drive I can work out a day with you. Just know I’m outside of Austin Texas so you’re looking at about a 14 hour drive. If you’re able to have your truck down for a little bit shipping is an option as well. Just let me know what direction you’d like to go and we can work something out together.

Rebuilt these icons for a tundras.com member. Had him in and out the same day and will be doing his trd pro shocks soon so he has a spare set when needed. Thanks so much for the referral @Texoma

Just because they look decent doesn’t mean they aren’t hiding something on the inside. I’m building these for myself from some busted up sets I got on marketplace. Taking two worn out sets to get all the parts to make them remote reservoirs with cdc valves.
If y’all ever buy used shocks i recommend at least letting me look at them for you and check pressures before taking the time to put them on your truck. If these had been sold to someone just wanting to throw them on the would have leaked and rode terribly.

Rebuilt a set of Kings for a local guy. Loved his 4runner! Had him back on the road the same day.
I also have a set of Trd pro shocks ready to exchange if anyone needs theirs done to limit your down time. I can send you rebuilt shocks and you send me your old ones for the next guy to exchange.
