Hi Ian. I've got a 2017 Tacoma trd pro that could use a shock service. Are you still offering the exchange service?

I am but am running behind on the exchange set. Since you dont have a post count here as an established member Id need a deposit to sent to me when its your turn to ensure your old shocks get returned.

Are the Bilstein 6112 front struts serviceable? I've got a blown out seal leaking.

Yes I do, You've been super patient and I appreciate it. I'm replacing the top hats and front lower bushings for you as a thankyou for waiting so long free of charge. Ill get that knocked out asap and let you know when they are good to go. The shaft guards on the rears are getting older and can't be purchased so I'll be sending them without so keep yours to put back on. Hasn't been an issue yet but I want to be fair for the next guy that would get the shocks you send back in case some peoples are in better shape than others.

I recently used Ian's services to rebuild my TRD PRO shocks and it was a great experience. He was very communicative and reliable during the whole process. I shipped my shocks from California on Monday and had them back on my truck the following Monday. All my local shops quoted me 3-4 weeks and charged more than Ian. Even with the added shipping costs, it was a no brainer sending them out. The shocks came back clean and shiny and the truck rides like new again. I swapped in a take off set of shocks and the job took me about 4 hours per swap. I'm sure a more experienced mechanic could do it faster but i'm more of a hobbyist. Thanks so much Ian!

Hey gang, coming in a little late on this thread. I have a ‘21 TRD Pro w/ stock Fox 2.5’s. 44k miles. Love the truck and the setup. It’s my daily driver with occasional trips to the mountains and gentle rock crawling. Truck rides nice, no leaks from shocks, all seems good. My question - I read somewhere that I should rebuild at 50k miles. Seriously??? I would expect Fox to be good for 100k with my driving and given their reputation. Any thoughts? I do also have squeak (passenger rear) when I compress, no leaks, good recoil ( no bouncing). I have just accepted that this is likely a sleeve or something rubbing. I am bummed that I paid a premium for the suspension and am getting this but not worth freaking out over it. Appreciate any thoughts.

Yes they do. Almost all high end rebuildable suspension has very similar rebuild intervals. Gotta pay to play.
