TRD pro fox springs

    I'm just assuming here...but it doesn't seem like the spring seat would be any larger than the diameter of the coil itself. It's highly unlikely that a spring any larger than the one designed for the shock originally would have any chance of working. For example the springs that OP posted are 3" in OD, are made form 1/4" coil, resulting in the 2.5" ID. The shock body measures ~2.5" like the spring's ID, and the spring seat's outer edge is also going to be ~3" to fit exactly the spring's OD.

    At the risk of going down a rabbit hole, theoretically it would be possible to install larger diameter spring seats on a stock shock so that it works with the trd pro coil springs. Would I do that? No

    Appreciate the feedback and entertainment. I won’t purchase these springs or any other till I’m ready to upgrade the whole suspension
