In all honesty; why is a 2018 pro better than a 2018 OR (performance wise)? I read some of the post here saying it is, but I thought suspension was the only difference (again performance wise).

OP, good luck with build. Wished I had that kind of money to buy a pro and then mod it. Already 15k deep into my 2018 OR lol.

I think the reason people get so butt hurt about buying a pro and then immediately removing the suspension, is because that is the biggest actual performance upgrade that you paid for when you bought the thing and then to remove it seems like a colossal waste of money. Money we all wish we had! Haha! Not something I would do but its your truck and since clearly you can afford it, I'd say do what you want. Hopefully you get some decent cash for the take offs.

    Missed this yesterday... ahahaha! Nice!

Yep, you said it. Their suspension is superior to the OR. It might not sound like a lot to you, but it actually is.

Its like sport / muscle cars and talking about the difference between motors in the regular camaro ss (LT1 v8) and the camaro zl1 (LT4 supercharged v8).

Its not just the suspension. Its suspension, skid plate, head lights, tail lights, nicer (leather) interior, fog lamps, wheels, hood/scoop, grill, exclusivity, etc.

    I probably missed other things.

It is just flat out the superior truck.

Nah brah. The fake scoop have been proven to cause severe buffeting when airborne. A few people have actually died mid-flight when jumping their Pros. The turbulence put them right on their roof. Huge cover-up from Toyota.

I LOVE the shit interior haha. I considered buying a limited and then adding all the pro stuff but the price just didnt make sense at the end.

THIS is why I went with the Pro. It was just a win/win situation. Buying a OR or Sport and then adding all the Pro stuff ends up being damn near more than the Pro at the end of the day.

I couldn't afford a Pro & Quicksand was not a option for color. I am jealous of the no sunroof mostly. I wish my OR did not have it.. Currently looking for Pro suspension as I don't offroad much & like the fact of OEM parts.

I get the same question all the time. I love the styling of the Pro but the stock suspension was weak compared to my Stage 6 with billet DJ UCAs.

I’m in SoCal and got 1700 no questions asked for stock Fox suspension. Had it posted on Offer Up for maybe 15 mins and it was sold. Some people over here are dying to make their truck look like a Pro.

Sure, but only in stock form. Remove that caveat and an SR5 can easily be far greater than a Pro ever though of being...for less coin too.

Holy crap, how can anybody get this triggered over shocks? It's common practice with performance cars to buy the top trim of a model and modify it to your liking. It's not THAT weird of a concept.

Personally, I'd hold on to them so it can be returned to stock form for flexibility on the resale side of things.

An SR5 has a lot of modding before it can even start messing with the Pro. Even once it surpases the Pro in performance/looks/comfort thanks to modification, it will just be a moddified SR5. Dont forget that the Pro guys can also modify their trucks. Modifications dont just apply to the lower trims.

I dont know about you, but Ill take a stock Pro over a modded SR5, any day.

Weakness of the Pro package, no longbed option. That alone makes it deficient to me.

Yes Zyborg, I realize that there are many other things that differentiate the pro from the other models aside from the suspension. That’s why I used the word “BIGGEST” in my original post. My point was all that shit you listed doesn’t do a damn thing to make the truck perform better, the suspension actually does. Do the things you mentioned make the truck look cooler to some? Probably. I wouldn’t pay extra for a non functional hood scoop myself. If you take a minute to catch your breath and re-read my initial post I wasn’t bashing the Pro nor the OP. I think the pro is a cool truck, do I think it’s worth the extra money, no. But I also don’t have that kind of money. It was a bit of a stretch for me to afford the off road. If I had lots of extra money who’s to say what I’d waste it on.
