    I had purchased a oem pro grill from a dealership in mass and bought the garnish for $50 off of eBay and the tss hasn’t worked sense but not sure if it’s the 3” lift or the garnish :notsure:

    Was it an actual OEM garnish?

    There are threads on here how to tell if it is a knock off. If it was a knockoff garnish that is the most common cause of a TSS error. The actual garnish price shot up to like $200 or more recently (was $50 from a dealership when I got mine).

    I used OEM everything (grille, garnish, pro harness) when I swapped out my OR grille and didn't have an issue.

    This is one of those threads.... however, even the aftermarket garnishes seem to work fine most of the time. I would suggest trying out an OEM garnish to see if that fixes it but the other thing I have seen ahappen a lot is a much simpler solution....

    People forget to plug in the sensor harness after installing the grill, make sure your sensor is plugeed in corretly.

    You're not the only one with the lift, that doesnt really couse errors, it may not operate properly but the system has no way to tell that you have a lift so you should still have a working TSS.

    It came in the cardboard box so it definitely wasn’t oem according to the first post of this thread but at the time I believed that it was but I’m definitely going to end up buying the right one just to be sure

    I'm guilty of that... I installed lights in my grill when I swapped grills. I think I was in a hurry to see the lights on. After starting I got the error. Then I said some bad words. Then I remembered. I have CRS disease...

    Ok, so I need the Pro grill for my wifes new 2020 TRD Sport. I bought one from you for her prior '16 and it was great, but didn't need the garnish then. But now, it has all the fancy safety stuff on it. I see you have it with and without the garnish. From what I can tell, yours is the OEM garnish, correct? So now it's either get that one for the $150 difference, or gamble and get one of the $35-$50 ones on ebay/Amazon?

    I ran out of aftermarket garnishes but we usually have those too, I expect to have those by the end of next week.
    The garnishes I do have are 100% OEM but yes they're more expensive. I cannot speak to the functionality of other aftermarket garnishes, I have tested the kind that I sell and I know those work fine but you may or may not get the same kind if you buy from elsewhere.
    I might do a promo with OEM garnishes since I don't have any more aftermarkets....o_O

    it makes sende, but I dont think anyone makes that yet... I dont even know if thats actually someting you want, I would want the garnish to look like the rest of the grill too but that means you would have an uneven surface in front of your garnish... I dont think I would trust my radar even if it didnt throw any errors...

    The dealer I deal with says that toyota only updates pricing every 6 months, last update was in july so if these come back down it should be in january (according to this dealer)
