    Hi all,

First Post. I used to be over on some other forums when I had my 96'. Recently re-entered the Tacoma family with a 2020 TRD Offroad. I wanted the Pro Grill put on prior to purchase but sales associate told me two things:

    1. They attach the pro grills to VIN numbers so I couldn't order
    2. my Multi-Terrain monitor with the advanced technology package will not allow the TRD pro grill to fit

I call BS on number 2 - but want a straight answer before I order something after market. I'm seeing things about a garnish sensor but want to ensure I'm looking correctly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Toyota and dealers started getting picky with Pro parts on non pro truck. Order the part online and find a Pro vin number and send it in, they wont check, if you dont already have the part in hand. Installation is simple enough and should not require a dealer to do it. As far as the MTM goes, that sounds farfetched. Theres only one sensor behind the grille and if you buy the grille with the TSS adapter, there should be zero issue.

MTM adds a camera in the front grill, sounds like a couple vendors are working on 2020 pro grill knockoffs already.

Interesting, that's new for me. Good call. As far as the VIN non sense, others have had plenty of luck just grabbing a pro vin off the internet some where to get the part.

I just picked up a 2020 off road and was wondering the same thing. I do not have the MTM on mine but I do have TSS so i should be fine as long as I get the garnish right? I believe this one will work with both MTM and TSS, it just says some small modifications may be necessary although they do not actually specify what modification you may have to do.

I have a 2019 Tacoma Sport and I'd like to install the new 2020 Tacoma grill (horizontal wavy dark plastic lines) instead. I considered swapping to the Pro grill, but didn't want to mess with the TSS sensor by relocating it and potentially void any warranties.

That said, if i used the new 2020 grill, the Toyota logo with the sensor still stays in the same place so I wouldn't be moving it or voiding any warranties. Does anyone know if the 2019 grills are interchangeable with the 2020 grills (not the Pro grill, just the new horizontal wavy dark lines one)? Did the size of the Toyota sensor in the middle change or the dimensions/fitting of the grill?

If you haven't already purchased the Taco yet, tell them you want it installed as part of the purchase price.

    lol
What am I going to do with MTM?
And TSS..lol...why not just take cab...or for young fellas, uber or lyft
    Worse than antilock braking IMO
What ever happened to just drive the truck....if you can't take the bus.

I may have offended a couple of you , but just having one of those days:)

MTM and TSS is probably making these truck so costly
I'd like to take my 2014 and rip out the drive-train and drop in a 360 crate motor and rewire the entire vehicle.
Get a carburetor while I'm at it and a fuel pump mounted on the block not in the tank..

OK rant over...not the right thread
