Toyota of Cochrane in Canada I'm guessing. I've been on the waitlist for a grill from them too and I just got an email from them today. Unfortunately I had to turn them down since I already ordered a grill through ebay for 410. Would have saved me 35 bucks if I would have been patient and waited a couple days but oh well.

Contemplating adding this Grill on the SR5. But would like to keep the crhome around the lettering on the mesh grill. Is this possible?

Just put mine on the other day and I'm almost sure there were tabs there. If yours was packed like mine I'd see it as pretty hard for the tabs to fall out or break in the first place. Did it look repackaged?

Could it be just the location where the injection points are on the mold? Post production bad trimming?

There are a total of 16 Tabs. So count them and if there isn't 16 then you got some broken ones. Time for a replacement from dealer.

I believe those are broken tabs and unfortunately they are next to each other...

It should be clear when you look at it if they are broken. They are all equal distances from each other, there should be no gaps.

Take a picture of the whole thing from above and I will tell you for sure.

I counted how many tabs were on my new grill and confirmed with another source. And sold some grills with broken tabs. Also the OEM Grille that I removed to install the TRD Pro Grille has 16 tabs as well.

Have a look at this video.. at the 10min mark or so it shows the tabs pretty good. You can compare easy.
