Just had my TRD Pro grille installed at the dealer because the TSS had to be reprogrammed to correctly operate, plus if something goes wrong with the TSS the dealer installed it so it covered under the manufacturer warranty. He told me that if I would have installed and messed something up that possibly Toyota would void my warranty. Any validity to that?

One hour of the labor rate. It was $100 but I have total piece of mind if something goes wrong.

Program the TSS?? From reading other posts, it looks like you just unplug and plug it back in? I've ordered the pro grille with the garnish and planned to install them myself.

Good luck my friend, I hope it works out for you. Knowing my luck I would have destroyed something if I did it myself.

I got it from a Toyota dealership. The grille was $197 and the Garnish piece was $67. I paid $100 for the install (I know you can install yourself but I didn’t want to f@#& up my truck). The grille is a 2018 pro model. The part number is PT228-35180

So easy, a few main bolts - the entire grill assembly pops off. Pop out the old, plug in the new, bolt up = done.

That’s a 2016-2017 grille, not a 2018 with TSS. This is what the 2018 factory (non Chinese) grill looks like

Kudos for not buying knock off Chinese garbage. IMO knock off parts really ruin the car/truck scene. No one on here would be caught dead in fake Nikes but people dont seem to have an issue with car parts. Just dont get it.

Also for the guy saying 5min job.....good luck with that. Shop minimum I'm sure is 1hr so that's what your getting charged. Realistically probably took them 30min to get it done.
