TRD Pro Grille for $140?

I ordered one from areyourshop it took 9 days. Came in great condition. Nothing broken all letters. Only bad this was the first “T” and the “A” have silver colored backing versus the black backing like the rest of the letters. The plastic pins on the back of the letters are smaller than the holes so unless you epoxy the pins from the back side of the grill they are only held on by 3M style tape. I sold the first one just to get a two piece grill where you screw the Toyota logo onto the grill.

 

Just a reminder for everyone, the two piece will not work on the 2018 trucks.

 

I finally got around to putting my Pro style grille on. Not bad for $117. The install was uneventful and the grille appears to be high quality.

Thanks Jayrobot, I did dig a little deeper but didn’t see one from madhornets and have found some less than happy reviews on their other parts. I will check grill-pro. I used to run a plant dependent on Chinese suppliers and know all too well about CNY Probably need a little time anyway after the first adds of mud flaps, window deflectors, hood protector, dog hammock and door protectors, hood protector, seat covers and trailer breaks so the wife doesn’t freak on me.

 

so i dont want the Chinese part what so ever. i want the OEM grill and Garnish. What is a good website or company to buy it from? I spoke with Toyota and they dont have the PT228-35180 part number in the system, maybe the truck is still "new"?

 

I just received my grill from areyourshop as well. I was a little disappointed because some of the tabs were broken during shipping. And as this thread mentioned, the letters T and A borders were also painted the grey colour. In addition, the top edge had two identical marks where it was cut from its mold during its manufacturing process. It is noticeable if you look for it. The letters are only held in place by 3m tape which is not secure enough for long wear as there is no real backing to stick the letters to firmly. I got a full refund and will be trying out grill-pro next as it is two pieces where the letters are screwed in place securely.

 

Will the madhorns fit on a ‘17 sport?

 

I just got mine from areyoushop turned out pretty well. T and A are a little different than the other letters because of how they mount and we’re all silver. A little bit of maksking tape and some satin black spray paint and you’d never know the difference from oem

No, the 2017 cost more than the 2018. I ordered the ‘18 and the garnish for the tss. Pics of it installed this morning.

 

I know I needed the garnish, but what about the harness? Haven’t heard anything about that

 

Sorry misspoke. When I said harness it should have been garnish. I’ll fix that.

 

Which bumper is that the SOS off-road ?

 

The harness for the pro grill is longer than the stock harness. Your harness will work on the pro grill but it won't be routed in the same place. I've ordered the Pro Grill harness but I'm still waiting for it to come in.
