Should have taken an extra 5 minutes to paint the outline on the T and A.

Meh, it matched the other letters so I left it alone. I think down the line, I might paint the letters blue to match the truck:)

Anyone receive a grill where the garnish is secured by melting the plastic by the tab as shown in the picture below? I have an 18 and need to remove it for the garnish but am wondering if anyone else had to deal with this.

Is that what you used when removing the garnish? Because a razor/utility knife won’t cut through this at least from my experience trying to remove it without cracking it.

When you attached the garnish did you use the starlock washers? Did you have to use the pegs from the original toyota emblem garnish or are there some on the Pro garnish? I forget what mine looks like and I need to go back and install the starlock washers.

I read that wrong the first time

I did not use star lock washers, the pro garnish has tabs that click into the grill and I also added gorilla glue for added support

I see. I installed mine by clicking it in but it wiggles so I'm going to check it out again and want to do it right. I'll consider gorilla glue if the other washers dont work out.

Mine felt pretty secure with the two bottom tabs, but I just wanted that added glue for piece of mind. I think I’ll add those star-lock washers too tho. Can’t be too safe! Lol

hmm...I didn't see any washers with my garnish from Toyota. I just clicked it in and never thought twice about it.....until now. I'll have to search my packaging later.
