If you care for the truck just keep it OEM and know it’s the best

Why get cheap mods on your expensive investment

You don’t need to order the extension. Some do, some don’t. I comes down to personal preference.

yep....after reading those same reviews i finally went with running4tacos.com.......Tuan is super customer orientated and answer all emails within 8 hrs......super to deal with......his are also "matte black"....not Glossy black which is offered by Mad Hornets......i also got my raptor lights from Tuan.......

FWIT........Mad Hornet is not OEM....they come from China.....i spoke to him thru emails and thats what he told me......i do not like glossy black......and even though Tuan's come from China, they are really nice and lights fit perfect.

Does anyone have a current ebay link to a trd pro grill for a 2016-2017 tacoma without the sensor on it. The ones i have seen throughout this thread are mostly for 2018 style grills and was wondering if others have just bought the 2018 grill for their 2016-2017.

I wasn't initially very happy with the grill. The material was fine but the letters looked terrible initially. I don't know about y'all but the all grey letters super bugged me. I masked and painted the T and A bases satin black, cut the molding tabs off of the letters and jb welded the letters to the grill because the foam double sided tape pushes the letters off of the grill base and looks crappy and makes them prone to rotating.

Fixing those little things made it look a lot better.

I ordered the OEM grill from the dealer today. It cost me $275 or around $295 by the time the tax was added. They are going to install it and recalibrate the sensor so that will probably add another $100 bucks or so. But as the old saying goes: “Cry once...” at least I know it’ll be right and if it’s not, I can bring it back and it’s their problem to deal with.

The only thing is now I’m questioning whether I will need to buy that garnish everyone is talking about as well? Does the OEM grill come equipped with it already? They didn’t say anything about it when ordered it. I just asked them if it would be compatible with the TSS sensor and they told me that yes the new grill was for tss equipped vehicles. Didn’t mention the garnish piece though...

Not sure if this has been asked before, but does any one know where to get just replacement letters?
I noticed the other day the A is missing on my grille, which is fairly annoying. Probably lost in the carwash. I've thought about stickers instead if necessary, but would prefer it the way it should be.
    Thanks

You will need the garnish. I also bought the extended wiring harness. Don’t think that’s a necessity, however. I think for everything I was just a hair over $300. I also bought the lock washers from them. No issues at all. Very easy install, could save yourself $100.
