TRD Pro Grille for $140?

I hear that the new Chinese grilles fix the shifting issues!

 

I was one of the early grabbers of the CaliRaised Faux grilles prior to the ones hitting ebay. at that point $250 to the door was by far the cheapest true OEM style replica. that being said, had I waited 48-72 more hours I would've seen this thread and ordered the $140 version.

curious though, why the hatred with CaliRaised? I ordered one of their lightbar combo's and in March and have been happy thus far with everything and it shipped quickly and packaged nicely and same with this grille, I got it about a week prior to what they promised.

I mean i can't blame the guy for trying to make a buck, and he had the market cornered for a few days prior to these showing up.

Have people had some bad experiences with CaliRaised? That's why I've been choosing to do business with the smaller guys and active members on the forums as I feel like they'd make it right if something was wrong. Not trying to flame, just trying to stay educated on who to do business with.

 

Pretty stupid to get mad at them for this IMHO. That is literally what every other product out there does, makes it cheap in China and sells it here for profit. It is what makes the world go round.

Only reason I am mad is cause there is no 2nd Gen grille

 

All right guys here’s a quick review and photos of the eBay grill from motorfansclub. Purchase on 11/9 for $140 with free shipping arrived today 11/20. The packaging is excellent. No major dents in the box. So this was handled really well considering the distance it traveled and how many hands have touched it. Now for the grill. It’s a two piece grill. The main grill and the surround are one piece and the Toyota emblem is another. The emblem is screwed into the main grill with 4 supplied screws. I don’t have an oem grill to compare the two but as far as I can tell this is a really well made faux grill. The finish is perfect. There are no visible flaws from the mold. So my initial thoughts are for $140 this grill is worth it. I won’t be able to mount the grill tonight because I’m literally heading out the door to go back to work. I wanted to meet the mailman to avoid some porch pirate from taking my stuff. Oh this was delivered USPS by the way.

 

Just looked on alibaba and they can do 20 2nd gen TRD Pro grilles for $166 USD plus shipping. Need someone to come up with the $3320 for the order.

I like the separate letters. Gives you options of making your own letters mounting with mesh or a possible small light bar etc etc etc. Looks very nice. Dare I say $400 nice.

Mine was ordered on the 6th was supposed to arrive on the 17th I checked tracking it still hasn't entered U.S. yet, I emailed seller he says if I don't receive by the 26th I get a full refund and Grill is free...

I also ordered on the 12th and paid $25 for expedited shipping. Today, the 20th, was my expected delivery date, but tracking information appears to reflect the package just left China on the 18th.
