So I was looking at getting the TRD Pro grille for my wife's 2016 TRD Sport. Where is the best place to get it? I've looked online and seen everything from $99 at some random online site, up to $406 on Sparks Parts.

Any place you'd recommend and what did you pay?

    Thanks..!

I got mine from MadHornets for $99 or so. Unlike some of the eBay ones, it came with the letters already installed and all the colors matched. I didn't know this would be the case until I took it out of the box, was expecting to stick the "T" and "A" on myself! Definitely would recommend it.

Edit to add link: This is the exact one I ordered. Listing doesn't show letters for trademark reasons, but they're there: http://www.madhornets.com/trd-pro-grille-for-tacoma-2016-2019-matte-black-pt228-35170/

I saw that one. Made me nervous when most all the photos dont have the letters in the grille, haha. Guess it makes sense about the trademark thing. Humm...

Well, if it helps, I just ordered it and installed it less than two weeks ago, so my experience is fresh and should represent things as they currently are :)

OH forgot to mention, the $400+ one you found is likely an OEM Toyota part. The $100ish ones are knockoffs but are just as good in terms of materials and such, as far as I know. I mean, the one I got certainly is solid.

Have you compared this next to an OEM part? I heard the chinese knockoffs are lighter in color than OEM.

Got mines from @CaliRaisedLed, paid about $300 after shipping (I'm in Hawaii) and the sensor garnish off of ebay. A little pricey, but I think the quality is pretty good, feels like a legit OEM part. Plus the letters all come attached and you dont have to stick anything on. My neighbor has an ebay one I believe, seems to enjoy it just as much, though I cant speak on their behalf.

There's been a few threads on this...
I got mine off ebay for $99 and the garnish for $50 ( and others on here have found it even cheaper) so just under $150 total and took maybe 25 mins. to install, and I can tell you I've looked at the pro grill and mine and I'm just not able to tell the difference. However if it helps you sleep better at night, get the oem grill from Toyota for $300 - $500 and get after it!!

Interesting. I haven't heard that. I haven't seen them side by side, but I didn't notice a difference after looking at the real McCoy at the dealership. Again though, I haven't compared them side by side.

I thought the garnish and other components had to be purchased separately.

They were purchased separately. I was just breaking down what the $250 consisted of.

At this price I feel like its not even worth buying aftermarket.

How much was just the grill without the garnish? Did the dealership have in stock? Seems like a really good price.

    Got it.

The 2018-2019 model OEM Pro grille go for about $175 through Toyota dealers online. Aftermarket (Chinese/EBay) Pro grilles go for as little as $70 but some cost as much as $140 or more.
