I have a 3D printer... there is no way a grill would work with most commercial options. It gets too hot up there, they are WAY too big (you'd have to print a ton of pieces and glue them together) not to mention it would take like a month of printing.

i don't understand why people are still complaining about the price? the comparable grilles are going for the same price if not more?! granted they're metal and the TRD Pro is plastic but all around cosmetic wise i think its the best looking grille out of all the OEM options and with that being said i like OEM parts due to the fitment and the RnD spent to make sure it fits and functions well... i can't wait!

Another thing is I am afraid that after years of use the metal grills WILL rust. Its inevitable where I love in South Dakota with the rocks and winter driving. $500 is a lot of money but in 10 years how will the BAMF grill look vs OEM PRO? Don't get me wrong the BAMF grill is sweet, I am just thinking long term.

Thats the msrp that you're looking at, I'm sure some on-line dealers will have a lower price. But its the shipping that will cost a lot.

That would be nice if it were true. Can you link me to a sub-$10,000 3d printer that can print this big of an item in a timely manner? You'll have to do a burn test on an OEM grill to find out what plastic is being used, then coat it with uv protection, after all that, you'll still face legal issues if Toyota finds out you're making knock off grilles.

I thought about it already, and I did the math. 3D printing would not work. A Chinese manufacturer would be the way to go, but then again, we're talking about thousands of dollars just to get the tooling. Financially, it wouldn't be worth it unless the demand for the grille was at least in the hundreds.

I ordered a 2017 TRD pro grill today from my dealership....around $450 including taxes......inventory showed it was backordered by 13 units....now 14. Parts guy told me it could be 2 weeks to 3 years for delivery! Worth a shot

Anyone have the part numbers for the headlights and tailights? I'd just like to cross reference with what Toyota told me. Thanks

Also is the trd sport hood the same as the pro hood....just different flat black insert?

People just think superficially on the basis of it being plastic that it should fit their own budget. Toyota isn't cranking out thousands upon thousands of these and on top of that if you want to make your own "Pro" package, Toyota is going to make their cut. People just have an unfounded sense of entitlement.

I've been trying to order one for a few weeks now. Zero in inventory for my region. You can't even order them yet. Tried to order a shift knob too, same result. Hopefully the NE gets TRD Pro parts inventory soon. I've been waiting almost a year to switch out this chrome grille
