I love my trd pro, but I wish it was lifted just a little. I've seen the eibach springs and the Wescott lift kit. Are either of those good options or will they negatively effect the ride quality? I don't do much off roading either.

I ditched the Eibach springs because of the infamous squeaking you can read about elsewhere. Before all that, the ride was the same. Wescott is probably your best bet if you don’t do much off roading (I’ve read it limits travel) and want to keep your foxes. I couldn’t easily go back to stock so I swapped out my fronts for Ironman 4x4 foam cell pros - 2.5”. Couldn’t be happier with the change.

Wescott kit is adding preload to your spring, it does not change your shock lengths or limit shock travel. It provides a lift on the truck, but also changes a few other things that may or may not be an issue for you and how you use the truck.

    1. With the preload spacer, the shock is now more extended at ride height, which decreases the droop/down travel from ride height. For off-roading, this may cause you to top out the shock more frequently and not feel very great.
    2. TRD Pro have Internal Bypass Shocks, which are position sensitive. This means they are designed to work in a specific zone. Changing this will make it ride closer to the top out zone or bump zone. In this case, it would be closer to the top out zone. This can definitely have an affect on ride quality. We see similar issues with those running bypass shocks that are not setup properly.

so what I'm getting from this is that if I want to lift it at all the best way is just to buy a whole new suspension set up? Or just keep it the way it is.

Thats ultimately up to you and your needs, not something I can answer for you. If you are mechanically inclined, you could certainly try the wescott deal, if its not to your liking, sell it and look into something else. That kit vs all new suspension is a big price jump, so again depends on what you need/want/can afford.

You will be fine with the Wescott, especially since you dont offroad much. I have installed them on a tacoma and 4runner and it rode just fine afterwards. Now if you get into offroad that entails more than just easier trails, then I would upgrade, but even then I wouldn't bother unless you damage the fox's.

I am very happy with the Wescott lift in the front of my truck. Rides better than stock and no squeaks. I take it off-roading and it performs just as well there.
