A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
I got an Electric Lime at msrp, and the standard 399.00 doc fee (colorado) my dealer didn't push or add anything to the truck. So a few good dealers are playing fair.

Beautiful truck! What size tires did they add? That size looks just right.

I'd say that's more like a $23k markup... $3k for magic air and 8 pieces of plastic?

MSRP “Manufacturers's suggested retail price” includes what Toyota Corporate feels is a reasonable profit for the dealership to add. It is not the “raw cost” that Toyota sells the vehicle to the dealer for. In the past MSRP was typically much higher than what vehicles sold for, as the dealers competed against each other using their profit margins. A dealer in a large market could focus on volume rather than mark-up and offer cars for competitive prices. Now the dealers in the large markets are faced with huge property taxes and various business taxes that force them to trend towards MSRP. When once you would drive to the city for a deal, now sometimes you gotta drive to the country for a deal, as we see with the insane prices in SoCal etc.

As the permanent (don’t kid yourself….nothing is ever getting cheaper) new economic realities set in for the nations of the west, you will find MSRP becomes the new normal as dealers struggle to do make a profit amongst rising costs, rising taxes, and inflation. Very soon, the MSRPs from Toyota will rise significantly, and then you may see dealers competing against each other for less than MSRP, but the prices will still be high.

Turns out the basics they teach you in economics 101 is all true, about money printing, boomerang sanctions etc. Amazing. Been the same since Roman times and no different in 2022.

I was at the dealer the other day having my truck serviced and whatever Tacoma, Tundra or 4R they had (which wasn’t much) all had market value markups. The Tundra’s has $15k and the Tacos and 4R had $10k. Crazy times…

I paid 4k over (Manual Lime) best I could do no adds after. Took 5 minutes to deal it was 2 months out. Since they were getting 5k pre pandemic around AZ didn't care especially since you could get 4k plus off a loaded OR pre pandemic that now sells at MSRP. Most of these dealers are insane. Funny thing is Toyota now puts on all the fender, hood, and other guards on at port for $395. Nitro tires lol, when I see that I just walk. Gonna assume this is Bell, possibly Camelback?
What the ... is tailgate script?

I bought my 19’ OR MT brand new in September of 19’ and had 2 dealerships competing against each other. The sticker was $41,000 and I got it for $35,000. I could sell it for more than the sticker price now. The only downside was my wife was pissed because I did all of this on our wedding anniversary. Oops.

Love my manual pro, but did fly up two states to pick it up for a deal. Well worth it, but it was precovid.

Ah. They've unfortunately since caught on. When I went shopping for a Pro I contacted 19 dealers in a 3 hour drive radius of Seattle most added a dealer profit fee between 5k and 10k, Michaels included.

I asked about Burlington (where I got mine), because the gal said the last Pro MT she sold some guy from California flew up to get it. Thought she might have been talking about you!

Mine was MSRP and without and of the dealer-added stuff like magic air, etc. That was 1.5 years ago.

Bought a 2021 Tacoma Pro Manual in magnetic grey for sticker in March 2021. Traded it in in December got 5,500 more than I paid but bought a 4runner Pro with Markup which basically in the end made it msrp for msrp.
