There’s a certain group of people that think the Pro trim level is overpriced. Ignore.

Because they don't realize most of us don't swap out the suspension immediately like non-Pros.

Doesn’t seem to happen in Canada. We’re nicer people or there are regulations preventing this?

I'm going with its an exercise of free-will. The ability of someone to consider multiple outcomes and courses of action unimpeded. Well almost, there was the market value adjustment he had to sort through.

No idea, but I wouldn't be surprised at anti-gouging laws. Canada has a lot of its shit figured out.

Define waste. If you’re not limited by your budget, is that waste to deliberately spend more money for more goodies?

There are no laws in Canada that outlaw selling above MSRP.

Price gouging laws do not cover auto sales.

Seems like a bulk of the Pro buyers on this forum did not pay over, or very little over msrp in the last year and change. However plenty of people appear to be and we sit here wondering who it is. For all we know the dealer ended up selling msrp to obtain a nice trade in, or meeting in the middle for the right buyer.

That Arizona dealer markup is horrendous. $3k for options already installed at the port generally, and nitrogen tires, GTFO. I hope they burn in the AZ heat!

Oh and what did they upcharge for the lights and tires?

Not sure which would make me angrier, the $3k for plastic stickers or the $600 for tailgate letters.

Either way I'd drive a fucking Geo Metro before I bought a damn thing there.

i was offers 7500 less for my Toyota trade at an “msrp” Toyota dealer than what carmax was going to pay. Actually made out better at a non msrp dealer who matched carmax. They would have listed my 2021 Tacoma pro for 15k more than my trade. They wouldn’t budge over 44k.

What’s the premium for a PRO now days ~$12-15k?
-PRO: 1” basic fox lift, Trd Wheels with the same garbage tires as other models, PRO grill, badging, front skid, fake leather, stamp on bedside, i dont know what else cosmetic shit they put on there?
    VS.
-some KING, wheels/all terrains, full skids, regear, katskinz, hell maybe enough for some front/rear steel bumpers.

    i dunno, you tell me…

“Oh but but but i got the exclusive color”

    …yeah for what…8 months LOL

You buy want you want for the amount you’re considering fair? To each their own. Forums are full of haters for the sake of it, I guess trims, colors and accessories will always create a useless debate.

It’s clearly a Pro. The 2022 comes with stamped bedsides and no badges on the doors. Also, pro headlamps, rigid fog lamps, pro skid, pro grille, pro wheels, red trd uca, pro hood scoop, matte black flares.

the magic air and plastic charge made me snart ice cream out my nose, lol. its like the guy collecting failing rain because he thinks its la croix.
Time is money and mods take up both, so i can see the allure of getting the top of the line despite knowing you could get something better if you did it yourself IF you had TIME and getting older means having less of that.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

My dealer is in Colorado.. I would have mentioned them and her, had I known it was worth posting.

Dealership is McDonald Toyota in Greely Colorado. They charge msrp and a 399.00 dealer fee.ask 4 erin I'm in line for the 2024 taco in convict orange. As far as I know I'm the only one on the list now.

But they only sell in state

Yes, but its supply and demand. They have less trucks to sell and high demand. They still need to keep their employees and pay their bills.

I get it. I also wanted the truck so I paid a 4k markup. 10k no not worth it. Get a trd offroad instead with hopefully much less markup.
