Ditto. I wish Toyota would let us order trucks like we want them instead of their take it or leave it approach. I guess they know SR5 sales would undercut Sport and OR sales.

 

They have their plants making the most of what makes money. They save money but not making custom orders. What's the longest you've seen a truck sit on a lot? They all sell and very quickly

 

I made a set of TRD Pro inspired blacked out headlights. Then I went a little further and added side marker tint, switchback DRLs and HID projectors.



For those waiting to buy the TRD Pro headlights, I'm selling this pair and can set them up just like Pro headlights for about a third of the cost (or keep the extras for a little more).

I'm with ya on the price. I've been saying 45k since we heard about the
release and many think I'm nuts and those same ppl think it will come in about 41k.

 

I like these pro accessories. I'm not gonna lie, I'll def buy the grill and I'll buy that shift knob too with as dumb as that sounds.

 

New to the forum, will be upgrading my ride from a Subaru legacy wagon turbo to a 3rd gen taco sometime this year. Lots of Taco's here in CO as well as Subies.

Drove the '16 OR and loved it. Also love all the options that come with the premium & technology package. I noticed on the '17 Pro model, it looks like it has heated seats and dual climate controls with out a moon roof.

I am hoping that this carries over to the other '17 options. Need a Premium & Tech package with the moonroof delete. Anyone else need that 1" of extra headroom, but like a warm butt in the winter?

Or I will have to explain to my wife why we have to go with the pro!

 

I'm probably going snag one of the grilles because I love the way it looks, but...

Do we even know if lowly "normal" Tacoma owners are going to be allowed to purchase pro accessories? Or are our Toyota overlords going to make us go through the whole VIN # song and dance for everything?

 

I can dig it, and I can understand why it would be desirable to someone. What I don't dig is the gloss wheels, and I'm sure Toyota charges a premium for them.

 

Ha ha. Yea, it would be nice if the moonroof was a separate standalone option. I guess they paid attention to some of the feedback indicating not everyone wants a hole above their head.

So glad I picked mine up in '15. This is an abomination... Even the wheels look terrible. I've seen some nice lifted '16's but toyota's execution on this truck is terrible....except the color. That's pretty sweet.

 

Reads a lot more like poor ESL (English as a Second Language) or a machine translation of a foreign language.

I'm still cranky about no answer as far as playing the VIN game for Pro accessories.

 

I don't understand why people poser pro. Why not find something more orginal if you're going aftermarket to make it your own? I hate the new pro blah blah it's overrated but dammmmn I can't wait to get the lights and the wheels and the leather and scoop and jbl...

 

I just think the grille looks the best out of any of the grilles out there, aftermarket included. That's the only pro part I'm looking to nab.

I want something with "TOYOTA" spelled out like the old (and new) FJ's. BAMF's looks nice, and I know there are plenty of other places out there that make something similar. I just happen to like the pro's grille the most.
