Solar Octane is the best! Lunar Rock does look good, especially when they had it in the Pro trim. I just can’t get over the chrome bumpers on the OR.

The chrome is for durability in scrape areas on the OR, but you can nix them by getting the advanced tech package with BSM.

Oh god, I didn’t realize that. I was looking at OR’s locally before going the Pro route. My wife let me go Pro because we assumed chrome was the standard (even though we were wanting the tech package) She preferred Lunar Rock but hated the chrome. Hah! Don’t tell my wife.

Ok that does look good. Truth be told, I'm in my mid 40's now and I felt like if I drove a truck that loud it would be like that episode from Better Call Saul where the geeky middle aged guy who was selling drugs rolled up in a bright yellow Hummer with flames and spinners on it.

Haha I’m 35 and definitely one of the louder cars at daycare pickup. It’s definitely not Electric Line Metallic loud - I think it being the Pro trim gives it a little bit of a pass. Honestly to me it suits the Pro aesthetic really well.

What kills me is that trade-in values are dropping like a rock, going back to normal. In the past year, my trade-in value on my '21 has dropped around $6K, but dealers are still adding mark ups to new Tacoma's. I don't think they can have it both ways. If trade-in prices drop, new prices need to come back down to earth too!

Same here in CT. The used Tacoma market is coming way down. You can actually find a 1 or 2 old 3rd gen for a reasonable price.

You can see some of these overpriced used 3rd gens sitting for months on the lot and dealers are finally cutting prices.

    I paid 3500 over MSRP.
Wanted a MT Pro. Dealerships in my area all had markups. I paid lower of the markups.
If I did not pay it, someone else was going to pay it, which sucks.
New vehicle was not an urgent need but almost there. Did not want a 4th gen.
Also did not want an auto.

I wanted a pro , the dealership I bought my Sport from is a smaller dealer , he would have charged MSRP ( what I paid for the sport ) but could not give any time frame on an allocation. Plenty of dealers here on Long Island , no one would budge on a markup so I gave up. I’m not an off roader and I’ll have my sport looking great in time. I just wanted that new solar octane color sooooooo bad

I thought the “chrome” was just chrome painted plastic? Im almost certain mine is plastic with chrome paint. That shit doesn’t seem metal at all to me.

One of the guys in my neighborhood bought one for his son. He left the window sticker on and it was $20,000 over MSRP, don’t know if he negotiated them down.

The door sill protectors are port installed. Mine did not have them optioned. The only thing that come standard appear to be the Pro specific all weather floor mats and wheel locks as those are showing up on Pros but not listed on the sticker.

Mine did not have the console safe.

Not the bumpers. That's why the get swapped to color matches for BSM. the sensors can't see through the metal bumper panels.

Next year you will be able to get solar octane in the new g4 in any trim.
