I installed mine just fine and it looks good but didn't see this thread before and looked at the PDF in this thread. I'm assuming the OR model and Sport difference is the Sport didn't have a mid factory skid to remove just the front. I literally don't remember seeing one, am I going crazy or was there one there for the Sport?

Doubtful... Doesn't the 2nd gen Pro have a similar skid plate?

Question for you, did you just paint right over the powder coating with any old spray paint? Also how is it holding up over time? I just got one and I'm getting ready to paint it because I don't want it to stand out. I was going to clean it then prime it and paint.

Any 3rd gen's install this with a diff drop? My maxtrac diff drop only came with 3 tube spacers and I'm wondering if anybody successfully installed this with a 3" lift with diff drop.

Yeah but this is a better design. I’m wondering if these fit 2nd gen too. TRDparts4U says they fit 2nd gen but it’s quite the change to drop for something I’m not sure will fit.

It will fit. But you may want to take it off for oilchanges because drain and filter might not line up with the doors in the Pro skid plate

You do not need to drop this skid on a 2nd gen for oil change, the cutout for the oil drain plug lines up perfectly.

Using paint doesn't hold up all that well if you drive in areas where there's a lot of road grime, for example winter roads covered with salt/sand. You will rather quickly start seeing the paint get sandblasted away. If you want something other than the silver color, I highly recommend just spending the money up front to have it re-powdercoated

I remember reading they say it doesn't fit due to the air dam. Once you remove that (if you haven't already), everything lines up apparently.

For those that have this skid. Is changing the oil a breeze? Or is accessing the filter a hassle?

Very simple, just remove 4 Allen bolts, cover comes off, insert oil socket onto filter and change oil like normal. Replace access plate. Maybe adds 90 second to entire job.

No hassle or troubles. Well designed.
