Anyone have a link or info for the skid plate install? I looked but can't find anything.

    Cheers

    Bolt her on, 22 ft/lbs, you're welcome ;)

What am I missing here, not trying to be a dick. I unbolted my tinfoil factory OR, layed down on creeper, threw Pro plate on chest rolled under and bolted up. I heard otherguys used paintcans to hold in place.

A few listed in the signature
You do need to remove some bolts other than the stock offroad skid plate. But you should be able to see which ones with a little common sense.

Don't over torque it. I broke my shoulder and had an accessories guy install my bumper, and he stripped the center weld nuts inside the frame where they cannot be reached. I had to install helicoils. No more than 20 ft lbs, although Toyota says 33.

Quick question for you all... why do they say only the OR or Pro only when selling the skid plate? I have an SR5 and want the plate but someone has told me that I have to cut a tow hook off?? I am sure that someone has done this?? :fingerscrossed:

Never heard of cutting the tow hook, but you do have to remove the plastic air dam.

Aren't the two hooks the same on all models?

That’s what I was thinking but the dealer keeps telling me pro or OR only...

Be sure to torque the bolts to spec. I had someone install the bumper and over-torqued beyond the 33 ft lbs recommended and the weld nuts broke the weld. I've had to install helicoils and 14mm bolts.

It’s because of the air dam. I guess because you have to remove the air dam to get it to fit, it doesn’t “fit” SR, SR5 and Limited.
