Will the TRD front skid plate fit a 2022 OR? Doesn’t come up in the vehicle selection. Thank you.

    I’d go aftermarket. Better skids.

    Welp,

here's a couple of pics from my install this past week. I couldn't get a stall at the Auto Hobby Shop on-base.

    IMG_5452_b1c7d28a29c056a27abcac236a146446a0837481.jpg

Box was intact...with some small puncture holes from the pre-locked bolts/spacer.

    AIR DAM removed!!! lol
    OEM Sport skid plate removed!!!

Talon fits perfect with 1/2 inch spacer from Talon.

    Looks Great! (Close-up)

    Looks good, Ed!

I installed mine last night. Super easy to do. One of the 12 mm bolts fell out of the plate during shipping but thankfully it was still in the box. Still have to install the Talon plate.

People on the forum always say remove the air dam, and I have to say I actually do like the look of the truck more without it.

I'm just hoping the dealership doesn't screw the skid plate up when I go in for oil changes. The factory Sport plate wasn't fully bolted down in the front from the recent oil change I had.

Been following this thread and ordered one of the skids from Prestige on 11/29, said it was coming in 12/1, but status still shows not in stock. Thanks for the updates, anxious to get mine and put it on - good to know that Lou is taking care of you guys - his name’s on my order too. Just hope it makes it from New York to Oregon intact and with bolts. You’d think they could put some extra tape on the box to keep it intact and loose bolts in the box! :)

Thanks for checking out the install!

Yeah, I thought about trying to install the Air Dam over the TRD Skid plate (so the wife wouldn't notice it) but it won't fit. So the day of install, she came home and drove up the driveway and didn't notice a thing! (She really has no interest in my truck so I was initially anxious she would notice)

I had a "not-so-great" experience with my 5K Mile scheduled MX at the dealership in Milford. The young kid who did my oil change & tire rotation hurriedly over-torqued a couple of the Air Dam bolts (even put one in at an angle) and the Service Mgr did not seem to care about the work performed.

I later discovered the young service tech even over-torqued the skid plate bolts...which I also told the Service Mgr but this seemed not important to him.

My 10K Mile Scheduled MX will be in Easton, MD where I bought my Sport...I thought to give the dealership close to me here in Delaware a chance to perform the work but as you can guess, I was disappointed.

So, this Feb, I will do the 40+ mile trek to Easton and express my expectations to the Service Mgr there not to over-torque the hex bolts on the TRD Skid plate. I had to loosen them up because they were tight as heck!

If you've read this far...thanks! This is still fresh on my mind so I try to document as I experience things.

Your TRD Skid plate is traveling cross-country...mine traveled from NY to Dover, DE which is less then a day's drive. Lou was surprised how fast it got here!

It's coming UPS and more than likely, you may be missing one of the bottom bolts that is not held onto the plate like the other 4 bolts.

I'm sure Lou ordered several replacement bolts (reply to the status notification email/let him know shortage and he will ship you what you need) and reported the discrepancy to correct this problem. The bolt you will need is the 12mm (D) on the diagram.

I look forward to seeing your TRD Skid plate install!

For those missing the back 2 bolts, no biggy; after searching around here found a lot just re-use the back 2 (at least on the OR).

Sport's don't have the rear plate, only the front. So no extra bolts to use. :(

    Not sure about a SR5.

The Talon CAT plate came with the bolts I needed...but I might just swap out the TRD bolts with those security bolts I currently have.

Lou sent the one I was missing and I received it yesterday.

Ya, read various trims don’t have that rear stock plate, the OR for sure and Pro maybe? Anywho. Just tossing that out there.
