Will the TRD Pro skid plate work on a truck with the 2.7?

Im going to assume the access panels will be in the wrong places though and you would have to remove the skid to service the truck though...?

I thought that the 2.7L motor had a spin on filter off to the passenger side of the engine?

I used to own a regular cab 2.7L Tacoma and I don't remember having to ever remove the dust/debris shield that occupies about the same width as the TRD Pro skidplate.
