I can assure you they do warranty it, my brother is the Sales director there and I have a signed document from them stating as such (all dealerships in the cont. US) Not too worried about that, it’s covered regardless, and I’m extremely confident in that.

That's a new one then. Still wouldn't trust those sales guys.

Trust me, I wouldn’t generally either. This was my brother though, and he wouldn’t shaft me, plus this truck was customized by a shop Adam Vinatieri owns and runs, they certainly wouldn’t want that bad press. It’s the first truck they have partnered on from my knowledge. I’m looking forward to seeing how capable it really is, probably more capable than I am as a driver at this point :D

Hm, seems odd still, I've seen dealerships do stuff like this just not Toyota corp.

Lol, hate to say it but you've been sold a bunch of lies. There's no way "Toyota" would partner with a shop to add a 6" lift (which is kind of asinine by itself). You keep throwing out the shop being owned by Adam Vinatieri actually means something. Sorry, it doesn't. Professional players make all kinds of investments and automotive shops seems to be a common one. AV4 means nothing, they aren't some premiere shop that Toyota is clamoring to work with. Dealerships will favor certain shops for lifts and other aftermarket installs when they don't want to mess with it...usually because of liability issues. If you think for half a second that Toyota won't shit on your warranty as soon as they can, you need to search around this site a little. You may have a fully covered warranty at your dealership, but if you think one dealership can make Toyota warranty aftermarket parts of any kind (especially one that requires cutting in to the frame), you're a sucker ;) and they saw you coming from a mile away. Sorry, I'm not trying to be a dick but you need a little reality check.

    Agreed. Sliders are insanely important!

As for the warrenty Toyota doesn't have a choice unless they can prove your mods caused the damage, and it this case it sounds like it doesn't matter even if they could blame the mods (lift). (Google magnuson moss warranty act)

And lastly, I'd like to see pics of this truck. As I like to say... Pics or it didn't happen.

Wrong. Your truck is covered even if he didn't have all the written contracts with the reputable dealer.

    Search Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.

Also this is a good read.

I never said your entire warranty is null and void, but if you think you are going to take your truck with a 6" lift and a chopped frame in to the dealer because it will no longer hold an alignment, or any other frame or chassis issue (rust issue comes back and frames are recalled...guess what, your frame was modified and is not covered). MM Act is great in principle, but in reality it's largely unenforceable. Here's some reading for you.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ffs-lets-all-stop-referencing-the-magnussen-moss-act.609911/

and a recent real world example of Toyota declining warranty work for aftermarket parts even though they can't prove it was the parts fault:

Unless the rust was caused by that cross member being changed it is still covered. This is a fact. Sounds like people on TW need lawyers. This is a law issue. The law is clear.

Lol, go read those threads. They either did have lawyers or are lawyers themselves (the second one specifically deals with litigations). If you think you are going to lawyer up and take Toyota to court, more power to ya, when they run you out of money, don't come back and bitch to us. Internet badasses are the best :)

No joke. I'll never forget the first time i saw a huge sack of blue bumper nuts hanging off a monster truck of an F250. Florida is a special place.

Offroad in the gulf... with a boat.

I have a 6” stage 2 procomp lift. I was able to put a skid plate on but from a 2nd gen tacoma. I was able also to use stock skid plate underneath the white skid plate but had to trim a lil. Hope it helps

I have one question: why? Call me crazy, but I just never understood the reason to do that to a vehicle. I suppose my school of thought isn't universal, but I'm of the mindset that if you're going to chop the frame and reduce drivability, it should be Dakar and Baja ready. Is it just a look thing? I don't mean to sound crass, I just know everyone's rationale is different and am curious.
