I'm actually positive @Ghostrider52 doesn't give two craps who's bank account his repairs get taken out of. "Toyota CORP" or Billy Bob's Toyota dealership. Or Billy Bob's personal bank account. Don't matter one bit. As a matter of fact, he didn't care about y'all's opinions about warranty work. He actually litterally said "I know it's covered" y'all just want to prove him wrong. I'm confused as to why it's so important to you lol

Agreed. I haven’t had a vehicle in the last 20 years that I haven’t modified beyond what would be covered by a claim. I had less than 100 miles on my ‘20 Tacoma and I had put King coil overs, wheels, tires, etc on. However, I don’t have the illusion that I’m going to get any kind of warranty support on the parts I’ve modified.

Well this turned into a crap shoot real quick. People in their feels I guess, hope it helps out their day. It’s covered, period. I know it, so does the dealership, and when I called the dealership that is close to my house (which is 1000 miles away) and gave them the vin and asked about the lift, it’s covered by them as well. Don’t care about anything else, it’s covered. That’s the reality of it, period. A grown man on a message board telling me I need a reality check...now that’s rich

I did see the skid plate @captainsava559 , does it rattle at all? I was more concerned I NEEDED the skid plate, but from what it sounds like, that’s not the case, at least before I figure out what I really have. Thank you for the insight and at least I know it’s possible. For now I’ll probably just enjoy driving it for a bit and see where to go from there.

Two questions for my own edification: (1) have you had anything go wrong that should be covered by the factory warranty and (2) has the dealer actually seen the truck? Point being I'd be hesitant to accept anything a dealer tells you until the service manager gets involved, tattles to Toyota, and the kibosh gets put on warranty work real quick.

Nah, wasn’t talking about you, I appreciate the insight on the plate. If I decide I need it I’ll definitely be looking back to see if there was anything else needed. I appreciate it!

They have seen pictures of the truck, relatively detailed ones, and they have no problem doing the warranty work. I haven’t had anything go wrong, I just bought the truck Tuesday and it’s being shipped to Tampa when I return. I’m not even back home yet after Christmas lol

Not to thread jack, but your truck looks absolutely amazing. Any rub?

Also, is there any chance you'd be willing to post it in this thread I created for those of us looking at potentially adding a 4" or larger lift? I would love to see the whole truck. The front looks beefy.

Gotcha. I tried to find open source info on AV4, but my google endeavors proved fruitless.
