Quick question. If I order a trd pro front skid. Can I install it on my 2019 trd sport? Or do I not have spots to bolt it in?

Ok perfect. I thought I read that I need to order a cross bar or something since the off road has spots to bolt and the sport doesn’t

I can install a steel RCI by myself (40 lbs, TRD Pro is 20 lbs). I use the hard knee pads carpet installers use (Lowes, HomeDepot, etc) and balance the skid plate on those pads ... get first two bolts partway in, then the next two, then those hold it on enough to crawl under for the back two bolts and tighten all.

If you've got a floor jack, just balance it on that and slowly jack it into place. Super easy and very controllable. And read the directions as there are bolts you need to remove first.

If you still have the front chin strap on that may interfere a bit but it is easily removed and should be removed by all. I installed a trd skid on my 18 sport originally without issue. But then found better options that weren't such a mud scoop.

If you drive a lot of highway miles at freeway speeds like I do, you may want to keep that chin spoiler as it does add stability and reduce noise at highway speed. If I were doing serious offroading I would remove it but most of mine is bouncing around the Alabama Hills in Lone Pine where it does not get in the way. The only thing I had to do was trim out the center with a dremel tool to make and fit around the TRD skid and then use some T-Rex tape to cover up the already partially covered holes to stop them from whistling.
