TRD Pro style emblems in off road and sport versions

Taco garage. Meso only made TRD Bro badges if I recall. I have 2 sets of the sports with all foam backing and 1 set off-road.

 

I just realized my flags are in that spot!

 

Should we be concerned of the foam sticking long term?

 

I had meso badges I had to remove too...now to find another placement for those.

 

Mine are already placed with the foam so you can either wait for me to post about them falling off or not or definitely go with the heavy duty 3m stuff. I have rolls of it left over from other badges I've done so it's too bad I didn't use those. Bought at home Depot and that stuff stuck great.
But, at least Freshmexicantaco is local to swap out or refund if issues arise for me.

 

Can you post a pic or a link of the 3m stuff?

 

So Walmart has specific automobile 3m adhesive that I once had success with but I like to get mine now from home Depot as it's an overall better price for the amount I get and I have used it for many applications. One example was Meso badges on my truck for 1 year so far without issues.

That is the same 3m that I use for my emblems.
Do not think it will even come off anymore.

Though, would be nice if it was thinner.
That's why I'm interested in this clear thin adhesive version.

 

As mentioned in one of my other posts the clear version was only on the off-road badges I have and not the sports. The two sets of sports both had the foam.

 

So when you got the Sports from tacogarage, they did not come with the clear adhesive?

 

They do come with the Adhesive

 

WOW! These are much better quality than the ones I brought from other guy. Time to replace...

 

He @Volksparts came by to pick up his emblems yesterday from me (thetacogarage.com) but he’s got a bunch of other cool stuff not for me that including a lot from meso

Yes and no, seems like some of the TRD emblems i was supplied have different kind of adhesive.... I checked a few and assumed they were all the same. I’ll get feedback on both and I will work with the supplier to get only the best of the two kinds on the future.

Correct, SPORT versions had foam only.

 

I ordered mine earlier today. Is it possible to get these with the clear before they ship out? @FreshMexicanTaco

I'm asking the type.
In the OP, it said clear adhesive.
Others said that the Sport comes with the foam adhesive.

The grey foam adhesive is very weak, and chances of losing your emblem on your way home is high.

The clear adhesive is appealing, because it is supposedly stronger and much thinner.

 

Will we get a shipping notice ? Ordered last night no hurry just want to keep a heads up on when it ships . Gotta beat the wife to the mail box!
