Can I get a cheaper TRD pro style grille like the ones from Yota garage and use an aftermarket TSS/ACC bracket or something to keep that functionality or so I have to get the whole expensive genuine Toyota replacement? 2018 TRD off road

Looks like it's a 2018 so it has TSS.

Op, what are you referring to when you say "whole expensive genuine Toyota replacement?" Do you mean the OEM grille or OEM garnish? If grille, no, you don't need Toyota's. If garnish, looking at the reviews at yota garage, you might be fine with one of theirs. Of course, they only have 10 reviews so far.

I have the taco garage pro grill and aftermarket garnish and it works fine. You don’t need to spend $3 or 400 on an OEM garnish. I did put a small washer under the sensor where the top screw is (to tilt it upwards very slightly, because the sensor is mounted lower on the pro grill than the stock OR grill). I haven’t any issues in rain, snow or sunshine.

I am coming from a Tundra so excuse my lack of knowledge of the taco grille options are different. I want a TRD style blackout grill and also eliminate the Chrome trim which is the only remaining chrome on the truck. Can I get a $200 TRD pro style grille and retain my TSS, is there a way to do that? What is my cheapest option to get a blackout grille and keep the option

Yes. $200 for the grill and the aftermarket garnish pre-installed for the TSS (you use your existing TSS sensor). You can even get it with blacked-out “Toyota” letters if you want to go full black. Like this...

Nevermind I found the grille and garnish, thank you! The first one I looked at there just said “does not work with 2016+ with TSS”

I found the one that says it will work with the garnish. That should do it! To do this on a tundra it was pushing a grand!

that grill is so sexy...i don't think i can afford it to work in my 21...i would settle for the SR5 honeycomb with the symbol... as long as my sensor (Radar....where are those forms) continued to work...heck, i would take those OE honeycomb wheels off same model...personally just don't like the TRD options

Sooooo pretty, just sent in an order my my first Taco, looking forward to doing this modification.

I do notice the link posted, said it is not compatible with Tacos that have a front facing camera.. (which the one I order will),

Hoping this wont hinder me finding a compatible grill

I too just replaced the Original Grille on my Tacoma to an after market Pro Grille. There was a TSS sensor error but after over 200 miles of driving the sensor recalibrated it self with no aligning of the sensor.
