    Toying with the idea of pulling my tails apart and color match black like the PRO's;
    [IMG]

    Now my question!:
    It seems to me like our OEM tail light housings are tinted red/pinkish. Or it could be the red lens just giving that effect.(and they are actually clear?)
    What do you guys think?? They would need to be clear for this mod...

    I didn't build it hoping for your approval, I built it because it meets mine!
    I was thinking about doing the same but I think our outer lenses are red. I'm pretty sure the TRD Pro tail lights are the different Limited lights that have the chrome blacked out with the clear lense.

    Why not wait a little longer and just buy the pro rear lights, Im sure they will end up being available parts wise.

    I think they are all different, if i had third gen i would order those or the limited taillights, they look a lot better then the red ones.

    Ah good call. Just looked up the limited lights..didn't know they were a different color. I think ours are tinted red:(
    That's an option. But I am impatient and who knows when they will be available (prob end of the year)

    I like this option. Cheapest and easiest.
    Just smoke the reverse light.. boom.
    Not a fan of the clear limited tails..
    Pro's are nice but pricey no doubt.

    I like this approach. Did you overlay a square piece of tint, or a spay on application?

    Ya, just some tinted vinyl. Easy too, no weird contours.

    Looks great, wanting to do the same to mine. When you say tinted vinyl, you mean just regular window tint? Also, I'm assuming you applied it to the outside of the light? How's it holding up?

    No, it's a thick clear tint for automotive. Kinda like protective film. Any good auto graphics shop can hook you up.
    Applied to the outside and it's holding up like a champ.

    Update;
    Pulled the apart. Will also be pulling the PROS apart. I have a dedicated build thread in the lighting section.
    Keep it classy with the OEM look..Just go LED!
