Hell everyone, I’m new to Tacoma World and just got my 2018 Tacoma last month, and I see this is great place to get knowledge and advice. I saw on my local Craigslist someone is selling a 2020 trd pro suspension with 20k miles on them for $1500. They then changed the listing to $1000 and I told them I’d be willing to do $850. Just wondering if it will be a direct bolt on to my 2018 or if I will other stuff like spacers or whatever and if it is even worth it for the price and their condition haha.
Here is an image of them

thank you to anyone who gives advice.

@ 20k, they surely won't look like that, but I may be wrong.....

Sorry, cant answer your question for sure, but I believe you would need nothing. Maybe a 1" block in the rear????

Thank I was considering buying the bilstein 6112/5160 but since are local and ready to go that’s why I shot an offer. And the service is 50k miles. But do y’all think it’s a huge deal that boot sleeve is like folded?

I’d go this route. If the factory shocks got beat, they may have little life left in them. And the red spring coating has been known to crack, and allow the springs to rust and break.
That said, I always assume the worse when buying used and price accordingly, therefore rarely buy used, especially when accounting for my time to install. There’s definitely deals and honest folks out there, but I’m skeptical.

The Fox shocks off the TRD PRO are actually a very good mid-grade shock. They offer a great balance in performance and definitely an upgrade over factory TRD OR suspension. I did the swap myself and am really happy with the results. I plan on getting mine rebuilt at or before the 50k mark.

There’s a long thread in the 3rd Gen classifieds forums on buying used TRD PRO Fox Shocks. Try to find it and you’ll see a wealth of information in there including pros & cons. I wouldn’t be scared off by 2nd hand shocks, unless high mileage or unless they are visually rusty, beat up, etc.
