I got my 2020 army green trd pro in October and I’ve been off-roading and overlanding it every chance I get. One issue I’ve run into is I frequently bottom out or drag the receiver. I have a diamond back HD cover and a heavy roof top tent mounted above it. I’d like to keep the fox suspension for now but install a better spring for heavy overlanding loads. I’m planning to run the 255/85/16 skinny tires for now.

I’d love to maintain the cushy ride and carry heavier loads. Is this possible?

Is “search” a replacement suspension for the fox or will it work with my current setup?

By spring do you mean leaf spring? Sounds like you may want an add-a-leaf. Slides in factory leaf pack that should keep the rear end from sagging less. Or are you wanting to lift it? Could do a 2" spacer up front and add-a-leaf for 1" in the rear! Hit up @HeadStrong Off-Road they can get you setup!

Try a new atlas leaf pack, an AAL, or a sumo spring. Or a sumo spring and aal.

I ordered the all pro add a leaf from wheelers. Part number 4500T-3AAL

hopefully it doesn’t cause too much rake. I know they make 1” front lifts for the trd pro suspension. Some are spacers and some aren’t. So we’ll see if that’s something I should add too.

How much extension do the rear shocks have? If they don't have the room, you'll ruin the rears over extending.

I'm new to offroad stuff but I think the add a leaf just stiffens up the spring pack so it shouldn't add any real "lift" it's just riding higher in its stock travel. But I'm a car guy and I know nothing about leaf springs so we'll see o_O

The AAL will most likely provide lift. That may be ok, just make sure the shocks have the room. I don't know what their range it.
