They could still void your warranty though. It would be no different than if you put an aftermarket suspension on, it wasn't factory equipped on your vehicle. If you have the money to fight it in court great, otherwise you'll be shit out of luck.

The stock OR suspension setup is softer and and has a lot more body role than the Pro's. Toyota's spec that the Pro has 1" lift in the front is also accurate. There is also a ton more rebound dampening in the Pro's shocks over the stock OR shocks. I can't state a comparison for sport or sr as I've never spent much time in either.

Personally if I had a OR, I'd pay the $2k for the Pro's suspension + front sway bar over off the shelf aftermarket. BUT, custom valved Fox or Kings is a completely different story. Someone spent some time on the valving of the Pro's suspension and it shows.

That is contrary to what other actual owners have experienced

Has anyone thought how Toyota plans on servicing these Fox shocks? After 50k miles on road the shocks should be rebuilt but do you deal with Toyota or Fox? Are the rebuilds covered under warranty?

One actual owner, and one or two other claim(s) that I have read on this forum. BUT, It's exactly inline with the Car and Driver article you posted in another thread, and quite a few other reviews. Plus my own experience as an owner.

You owned and regularly drove a OR before you bought your PRO?

Not owned an OR, but regularly driven one (2016 if that make a differance). Actually driven a few.

Is the TRD PRO track wider than regular TRD? How do they do accomplish this?

Wheel offset only, no other suspension changes that would change the track.

I don't see this as any different to any other shock they (or any other manufacturer) may use. Shocks are shot after 50k, and you are expected to replace them on your own dime. So, I'd expect you'll be in the exact same boat. Now, the fact that the Fox can actually be rebuilt where as the other can't, just means it's easier (and potentially cheaper) for the consumer.
But, I can't say I've actually looked at these Fox shocks in detail, they may well not be easy to rebuild as all the other Fox shocks so you might end up buying replacements and getting them valved appropiatly.

There are too many variables in that measurement. Better off to take a ground to "same point on frame close to axle" measurement, both left & right side.

I understand that shocks are normally on the owners cost but if the shocks are rebuild able it adds another element to replacing shocks. Not to many people will be happy to go back to toyota to pay $2k on new shocks but then you would have to drop off the vehicle to get the shocks removed then rebuilt and I doubt Toyota has that capabilities therefore have to ship them.

If im not mistaken the suspension has a 1" all round and an extra one in the front to give it a level look

Which ones? Only thing that can change in this measurement is lift. Wheel and tire for example have no influence

1 inch taller but same ground clearance... hmmmmm.... makes you think....

No wonder that Trd Pro at the grocery store didn't want to park next to me...

Its been pretty well documented in the toytec thread that center hub to fender is fairly accurate. Taking measurements from the ground compounds variables; ground terrain, tire wear and tire pressure.

Is ground clearance from rear diff? If so then it should be the same till tire size changes.
