I'm sorry about the loss of your truck. It has to be pretty tough to deal with not only being in a bad accident but losing a valuable vehicle that cannot be easily replaced. I hope your insurance company is willing to work with you. You may be in luck as the 2017 TRD Pros aren't really available yet, so the 2015 models will be selling for top dollar used. May help you get a better deal. I hope it all works out. I'm glad you and anyone in the vehicle with you is ok.

Yes. Now you can have a vehicle declared a total loss and you buy it back and either sell the parts yourself or actually pay to have it fixed. Sometimes the insurance company will not salvage the title, but if they do that's always something to strongly consider when buying back the truck.
I've known people to take the check from the insurance company after it was totaled, buy back the vehicle, and then have everything fixed and still walk away with a bit of cash in their hand. Just depends on the extent of the damage. I bet the OP has frame damage though, so not worth it.

Sounds like you have quite a few options for replacement which hopefully takes away some of the sting :(
Post up pics of the new ride wanna hear what the outcome is!

I would like to know how they figure the value. I have looked at Edmonds and KBB and have not seen the Baja or Pro option listed. I had a 1983 F150 with a new motor, roll bars and lights, grill guard with lights and some other accessories on it. Lady ran a stop and it was totaled. Insurance company even admitted that they could not find a comp. They made several offers before I accepted. They were paying for my rental and wanted to minimize the cost so I was in the cat bird seat. DO NOT settle for 1st, 2nd or maybe even 3rd. Do you own research and present original paperwork along with receipts for any add ons.

Good advice about negotiating the price they pay you.
My insurance taps into the Autosource database with actual sales figures (http://www.audatex.us/product.asp?PageID=zTotal_loss_independent_appraiser).
Still, it's a lot easier to get a realistic value on a Corolla than a modified TRD Pro.

NADA has the Pro option but pins a 13k mile Pro at about $33,500 ... good luck finding one for that.

    Too few to list.
Correct. I used to work for an insurance company and you can always negotiate what they offer you. What you do is you find the same model in the area close in mileage and see how much they are going for. In this case, outside of the area since they are harder to find and use that pricing for negotiations.

Thank you to all those who have expressed their concern with my wellbeing and the help provided in locating a new to me Pro. I have been pretty lucky overall! I have two little girls that I had just dropped off at school so I am thankful they were not in the truck with me and I was able to walk away with a backache.

As for those looking for parts I do not blame you I would be too, but I promise you the pictures do not do it justice. Anything related to the Pro package on the exterior of the truck is pretty much done. The drivers side lights are good I suppose and I kept the floor mats as I had weather tech mats in the truck and the Pro ones on a shelf in my garage since mile 5 (God forbid someone's feet touch them).

I am definitely NOT interested in owning this particular truck after the accident or going through the brain damage of parting it out. If someone here on the forum is interested in it there is a wrecking yard called Klodies (Denver) that I would say 99% of totaled vehicles in my area end up at so you could always try to be the lucky bidder once it is up for auction.

I have been in contact with my insurance, but everyone is still waiting on the police report so no one is making a move yet. I have reached out to the dealer where I purchased the truck and they have been VERY helpful in producing documentation of how rare this truck was even when new and even provided me with a written letter of what they would ask for it if they had it on their lot for sale. I have found some comps from the help of this community so THANK YOU! I am hoping the insurance will take that information an cut me a check based on these numbers plus title & tax that I will get to pay again, clear bra, side steps, etc.

Just glad everyone is okay. Even if rare the truck can be replaced and you have the right attitude going for you towards this situations.

I had been looking for Bajas which none of them list. Found Pro on NADA. Value difference between Pro and TRD OR was peanuts.

As suspected the truck is a total loss and my insurance company offered me pricing on a base model as they did not see the TRD Off Road or Sport stickers on the bed side. I obviously declined explained what options this truck has and requested they do some research. We will see what round two holds

Shouldn't it come up as a Pro when they plug in the VIN? That sounds fishy to me.

They know what options are on the truck and the value. First offer will be a low ball it is what insurance companies do. Some adjusters probably get incentives for how quick and low they can settle. Doubt they even used VIN to get complete option list.

Basically the adjuster called with "great news". Although my truck had been totaled they had already determined its value and had a check ready to be released. After I declined the offer they actually started asking me questions about the options as if they had never even looked at it. They were instantly confused and said they would need to talk to some dealers about its value.
