I recently picked up a pair of OEM Trd Pro tail lights for my 2023 off-road Tacoma. I broke one of the original off road tail lights backing up into a garbage can a few months ago and finally got around to upgrading to the blacked out pro lights.

When I installed the set of new tail lights, the turn signals light up in different sections of the red part of the tail light. The left driver side turn signal light lights up/blinks the bottom half of the red section. When I signal to the right, it lights up/blinks the upper half of the red section of that tail light. Is that just what these things do? When I press on the break the opposite happens: the upper half of the left tail light lights up and the lower half of the right tail light lights up.

When I reinstall the original chrome drivers side tail light the lights work in sync.

    What. Is. Happening?

You installed the left bulb sockets in the wrong holes. Remove the taillamp and swap the turn and stop lamp sockets.

Duuuuude!!! That was exactly it! I didn’t even think to check that since I never removed the bulbs. They were installed and assembled out of the box but those two bulbs were switched! Thanks!

Man I love this place! :bananadance:
