I've searched here at some length and there is too much information spread too far around.

Can someone please tell me what I need to install a TRD Pro grille on my TRD Off Road? Mine does have the advanced technology package with a from camera.

I'm not opposed to an after market grill if it functions as well as on OEM grill.

    Thank you in advance!

Mine is aftermarket, but looks great, the price was right (this was before inflation). It installed with ease, no fitting issues at all. I also have the front facing camera. This site sells the bracket for the grille.

    Your need
    1. The obvious Pro grill
    2. Garnish for the sensor
    3. Bracket for the front camera
    4. Screw driver
    5.Average brain.
    6. Two hands and an eye.

Those are the only items you nneed.

Thanks. It's Body Armor and it was SO easy to install! I say that because I paid a local shop to do it for me. I was in and out in 1.5hrs.

I thought you had to cut some plastic,
I am trying to find one that simply replaces the "OE look likes a bumper" , It looks like the "OE" fake bumper is one piece and can be replaced with a bumper like yours.

Yours looks like you had to trim the hole bigger?

    Simply fill the hole
upload_2022-8-12_18-8-0.jpgupload_2022-8-12_18-9-17.jpg This is showing either a white or black "OE" wanna be bumper and it looks like one piece

More like a simple bumper install question??
Dont be so Hacky as the OP question was answered and I observed a bumper.

OP, if you have a front camera, get the bracket. I think they cut the section out for camera fit you if you ask. But you can cut it your self.

I did the same with my front and rear bumpers with 500 miles on the vehicle. no way I had the heart to use electric cutting tools on my truck at that point.

Yeah, that was my real reason for paying someone else to do it. I wasn't lazy and I knew how to do it, I just couldn't bring myself to cut into my truck. I told the guys at the shop "Don't start cutting until AFTER I leave.".

I have the same grill on the way from Taco Vinyl with the garnish and camera bracket. Had to wait almost 2 months for it to ship, but it's finally it's way and will be here Thursday. I'm hoping not to have issues with the TSS sensor :)

Please tell me how it turns out. Are the OEM grilles any different from the Taco Vinyl ones?

I didn't see any difference. The OEM and Taco Vinyl grilles are really the only viable choices out there if you have the front facing camera. I liked Taco Vinyl's camera bracket so I decided to go with theirs. If it gets here as advertised it will probably be next weekend's project.

You do have to cut the plastic with the BA. Some bumpers fit over the plastic instead so that it's a no-cut/reversible install. Hooke road comes to immediate mind. I looked at those and decided nah, full send. I liked the looks of the BA better. :anonymous::anonymous: :sawzall:

    Don’t want to thread jack…
But i have an aftermarket Pro grill on my truck. Is it normal to have it kind of loose fitting? I can grab it and kinda shift it around in the mounting holes almost like it’s too small. Also creeks like it’s poorly made. PO installed it so I’m unaware of the brand.
